If it is true Burgzorg just about signed for BC at end of last window, then presumably he will be getting lined up for a January departure. Might well be at least  another one as I am sure they will be looking to strengthen further in January

Mason Burstow is a player I am tracking, scored a great goal for Bolton yesterday. 5 goals in 9 matches this season only 22 absolute no brainer to try and get him from Hull if The Zorg goes...

Really, then a free agent centre back it is then. Craig Dawson come on down...

There is no way that is a no brainer.

Well he's got bags of potential and is only going to improve, his value will increase. I've seen enough of him to know he will be a top player so...

I'm guessing the definite outgoings (if we can find deals) are Burgzorg, Dieng and Gilbert.

I can see us loaning out Hamilton if possible.

That's up to 4 spots opened up.

Three players with recurring injuries: Lenihan, Bangura and McGree. Depending on what happens with them we may need to replace them.

Definite incomings: Malanda

Then a lot depends on where we are at Christmas. If we're in the top 4 then I think we push out the boat for the autos. If we're 5th-6th we try to consolidate play-offs. If we have dropped off and are out of the top 6 then we probably try to address whatever weaknesses have been exposed.

If Bangura stays fit until Christmas and starts looking good on the pitch then I suspect we sell Silvera. His performances will probably mean we can find a buyer for around £500K. If Bangura breaks down, I suspect we turn back to Arfsten and sell Silvera if we can land him. If not, I think we stick with Silvera. A wildcard might be Jordan Bos - Aussie LWB now at Feyenoord but they probably bought him too recently.

If Lenihan breaks down long term again, I suspect we look for a loan or free agent. I reckon we could go for a loan of Joe Worrall from Burnley as a like for like replacement.

McGree is I think an optional extra so I doubt we explicitly replace him if he's still not playing. We already have Nypan and Whittaker though, obviously, Whittaker needs to prove himself.

Finding a keeper good enough to replace Dieng who is willing to be #2 won't be easy.  It's either going to have to be a Premier league u23 keeper or an old warhorse or hoping our own u21s are good enough. I could actually see us going for Jason Steele. I think his contract is ending so we could do a 1/2 season loan.

If we're in serious contention for the top 2 at Christmas then history tells us that we would look for a Ramirez regen to get us over the line. It's what Sunderland did with Le Fee last season. I have a sneaking suspicion about Diego Luna, attacking midfielder playing for Real Salt Lake in the MLS. Zian Flemming on loan from Burnley also seems like he would add extra goal threat for us and would have the advantage of being Championship seasoned.

Brucey good post but I think we have plenty of options uptop.

I would like to see us get Lascelles from Newcastle on loan in January to see us over the line...

Imagine if we go up, we could have Mags Mackems and Leeds derby games.

Might get a few more to my meet and greet sessions 😄

That would be a good shout if Lenihan isn't  able to play. We would have  Malanda, Jones, Fry and Edmundson as our specialist centre-backs and Ayling as a RCB. With Fry's injury record and Malanda maybe needing time to get up to speed, that definitely feels one short.

Gazette confirmed we cant register anymore players before Jan as we registered 25 players which is maximum. Only time it can be done is in “exceptional circumstances”. A season ending would not count.

Probably only a few GK injuries would allow you to register another GK

No brainer - how apt for you......

Mehmeti would’ve been some McGree replacement

Love that almost all the new signings have grabbed a goal now (Sene, Strelec, Hansen, Targett, and Jones). Dressing room must be buzzing.
