Mr H ...........Who do you rate outside the "parachute" clubs as they are (nearly) always going to be in the frame?

I think we are the best of the rest to be honest. Coventry, Norwich, West Brom will be there or there abouts. If Wilder turns up at Sheff United there's a chance they turn themselves around with that squad.

To be fair, they hadn't had a penalty in three days so were due one.

Lads, I really want everything to go your way at the weekend. Odds are, it probably won't, but trust me, if you are going to go up, as I hope you will, the play offs are the way to do it. In my 60's a

  • Fundamentally, it's in our hands. If we can keep up to 2 points per game until the end of the season, we end up on 90 points. If that doesn't get us into the top 2 then all we can do is hold up our ha

Bit early to really make up who will be where but Southampton and Ipswich are obvious choices for the autos. Some very good squads. A whole host of clubs will challenge for the playoffs. Leicester obviously but I also expect Sheffield Utd to pick up again and with only 5 matches played there is plenty of time to make up lost ground. I think we will be there also. We have assembled a decent squad and if we can keep Hackney and Morris fit in the centre we will do well. We're probably lacking a bit in defence as I'm not really sure on Ayling despite a decent start. Hopefully Malanda will come in and just make that spot his own.

Anyway it'g going to be another crazy championship season.

Yep, I do think if anyone finishes above Ipswich, they will gain promotion.

Sheff Utd will come good now - and I am over the moon we've already played them. They will be much much tougher now with them sacking Selles.

I think Birmingham will still be in the top 6.

Saints squad looks very good for this league too...but new manager and a lot of new players could mean it takes a little time to gel.

Their attacking options are brilliant, but we've seen on many occasions that a team of individuals don't necessarily mean a great team.

how does sheff utd recruitment look under selles for wilder? much there that will be written off or they are lacking for wilder now?

with the parachute payment clubs the worst thing is if they don't get it this half season they are never usually shy of sacking the manager and spending hard to turn things around, so even if southampton etc don't manage to get back on track they probs have a great 2nd chance waiting for them like the others do

I'd add Bristol and Stoke into the potential top 6 list. Bristol seem to be refining and improving year on year and Stoke in Robins have a Manager that knows what he's doing at this level.

As usual there are at least eight teams or more in the promotion mix and we are one of them. Big new US centre back to come in. Maybe a cover for Brynn in January plus a winger with real pace.

I don't think Birmingham will finish top 2 or even in the playoffs, tbh

I think they may need to upgrade their manager. Last season was his first, I think, in charge and he kind of had it on easy mode. They made need a more experienced manager at this level because they probably have a top 6 squad.

We have Brynn, Dieng (coming back from long-term injury), McLaughlin (not played a minute for us and only joined a fortnight ago)...and who's the fourth?
