They were never out of the mix in my mind. They will be top 2 with Coventryย

They looked like a fast and slick team yesterday beginning to find their feet (and Boots)

Yesterday was the first time Ipswich actually looked half decent.

All their other games - based on highlights, and stats seen to show they have been powder puff.

Let's not forget that game in hand should be a defeat too.

Norwich are terrible mind and they really did allow Ipswich to dictate and control the whole game without making it hard.

Be interesting to see how they fair up against us next Friday.

Coventry have gone clear fav's for the league and promotion, with the bookies...so they must be having 2nd thoughts on Ipswich blowing the league away, too.

I don't agree with that mate. Whilst i haven't seen every game they've played, i watched them against Sheff United and they absolutely demolished them. Sheff United started that game well too. It's not just their performances though, it's the depth of quality and experience they have. It's un-matched at this level.

On SkyBet, Ipswich are still favourites for promotion.

Whilst I think we should reassess our ambitions as the season goes on, I think its important we remain grounded to what our expectations were going into the season - majority of us would have been happy with Play Offs.

Our start has been electric (in terms of a points return, some questions over some aspects of the performances absolutely!) and I think we are on course for what our pre-season ambitions were.

It's easy to forget just how mental the Championship is, and that a run of games gets you right in the mix - so Ipswich will inevitably be in amongst it at the end of the season you expect. I'd snap your hand off for a top 4 finish

Tbh I wasn't greatly impressed with Ipswich. The concern i have with them is the depth and quality they had to bring on.

I think if Norwich had better quality in forward positions (bar Sargeant) they could have got something from the game as Ipswich didnt look too convincing defensively. That said I still have them as favourites for the league just based on the quality they possess in the squad.

I found it quite telling that Hackney didn't want to move to Ipswich for whatever reason. He could have had a decent pay rise and used them as a stepping stone. There were no certainties at the start of the season, however, it will be much clearer in January which way the seasons going.

Hackney, whilst I admire the lad, has done little to enhance his value and worth in recent times. Both him and Morris have been nowhere near their best recently. Perhaps in the belief they form the best midfield partnership in the division?

There is a need to cut out the sloppy passing. A need to get control and dictate midfield. A need to cut out putting the defence under pressure with some woeful passing.

Time for actions not words from the pair of them

Hackney seems to do the same thing every season, he will pick up form again between January and end of the season.

Not playing well to say the least yet second. This won't last long if we keep putting in mediocre performances. Maybe Morris ought to practice shooting. He is woeful. At least six or seven teams with better squads than us. We seem to be reverting to Carrick mode. Plenty of possession and quite a few shots but very few goals .Our last five matches speak of mid table if lucky. Hackney needs to be sold if anyone will.have him on his recent performances. Overall we ought to be worried. Super Rob and his team aren't cutting it at the moment. We had the opportunity to go into the international break in top spot but true to form the mighty Boro blew it.

If Hayden and Aiden would like to come along I will be running a 'shooting school' training session at Hutton Road training ground.ย

The focus on the first session will be 'how to keep the ball down when shooting towards goal'.ย

I would encourage them both to attend ๐Ÿ˜•
