Right. Here we go then.

Monday night. Eight o’clock. Top of the table clash away at Coventry City. Cameras on. Floodlights. Big atmosphere. Big moment. The sort of game that separates the men from the boys — or, if you like, the lions from the gazelles. And we’re very much lions at the moment.

Some teams get nervous when they’re top. Start hiding. Not us. We lean into it. Chest out. Smile on the face. Like, “Yeah, we know.”

Pressure? That’s just another word for expectation. And expectation is good. I thrive on it. Always have.

Last Time Out: Sheffield United Away (2–1 Win)

Let’s rewind to Sheffield United away. Difficult place to go. Proper football club. Proper fans. All very gritty.

First half? Superb. Exactly how you draw it up on a flip chart. Tommy Conway scores — lovely finish — and then Riley McGree makes it two. Calm. Professional. Like a team that’s rehearsed this.

Second half gets a bit squeaky. Patrick Bamford pulls one back — former player, always the way, isn’t it? Like bumping into your ex when you’re doing well.

But we manage it. See it out. Show character. And when the final whistle goes… top of the league.

After Coventry, the fixtures look favourable. Very favourable. Some might say handy. Others would say destined. I’m not saying that — but I’ve heard it said.

It's not this game that concerns me, it's some of the away games we have coming up. Even bloody Swansea are suddenly finding form.

Despite what people on here think, our home form won't be enough.

Whatever happens, bring 2 fringe/academy players on in added time and smash Hackney & friends into the stands.

Funnily enough our last game Vs them is generally when they consider their form to have started tanking

Can tell there's plenty of anticipation for this one when the threads up this early!

I'll take any points we can get here, but fully believe Hellberg's Heroes (TM) have what it takes to end our Coventry hoodoo.

I feel like we’d have to produce a similar performance to the first half last night, hopefully their midfield is still all over the place.

The good part is I think they will be more open than sheff utd with less effective pressing. The bad part is I think they will attack better than sheff Utd and have better all round players going forward.

I wouldn’t be against going 3 at the back bringing fry in to deal with their height and threat from crosses.

I’d take a draw here. But if you can beat Coventry here that is a massive statement. People talk about the pressure when you are top, but we’ll be putting a lot of pressure on Ipswich and Coventry to keep up

feels like its going to be something crazy rather than just a 2-0 home/away win. to much riding on it for a regular result. cov mind completely fold on us for once. 4-0 at half time would be so sweat. though i get a feeling they will probably score with every shot. its been that way against them for years.

There's a huge amount of pressure on Coventry at the minute. They've fallen off a cliff and they're under pressure not to fall off another cliff... 👀
