I don’t think it’s going to help us that we’re playing our next two games after everyone else - it’s kind of building the pressure on us if they all get favourable results from those. In fact Ipswich and Millwall play the day before we play Charlton so it’s three games really.

Wasn’t a great performance in the sense of quick passing and moving but after the last few games, we needed to show we had a plan B, and we did that tonight. A headed goal from a cross, a goal from a

  • Yeah I think this is a better way of putting what I said earlier. I think in its own way this was an inspiring performance. There's been a slight criticism creeping in that Hellberg only knows how to

Lot of credit has to go to hellberg here. Not pretty, almost the antithesis to how he likes us to play but all of his major decisions have paid off tonight - fry back in, been impirious, stelec up fro

Maybe it's just what we need so we don't over analyse everything and instead just go out to win at all costs 🤷‍♂️

I would be tempted to play Browne in the Whittaker role and bring Strelec in and go 4.2.2.2 when attacking and 4.3.1.2 when defending with Browne dropping back when we are out of possession

I think Whittaker has been off it and offered little from an attacking threat and we seen Browne can play the more advanced role.

Browne McGree

Strelec Conway

^I feel that front 4 would ask more questions of Birminghams defence than a front 3 of Whittaker, McGree and Conway. And we don't lose the solidity we will need at a touch ground.

This long wait is excruciating. I detest Monday night football. I don't think the EFL realised the implications of handing Sky a carte blanche 5-year contract that will ultimately destroy the Championship as we know it. I see the Championship being taken over by the Premier League at the end of the contract and there being 2 divisions to the Premier League, divisions 1 and 2.

I have a good feeling about Monday night. We can get our promotion back on track with a 2-0 victory. Hackney and Conway to score.

Don’t really fancy our chances in this game but then that means Boro will win 🤣🤣🤣 really depends on line up and if Kim will see what we all have and that Conway shouldn’t be on the left and Ayling needs a break. 2-1 to brum for me

That means Brum scoring first!

I’m not really sure what to think at the moment.

We have to start using the pitch better. We need more space to create openings and we must start playing it forward more quickly before they get back in shape.

I just don’t get why we obsess with cutting it back from the right when our striker is out on the left and not in the box. We still have no aerial threat from crosses either and it’s hard to unpick space with 11 men in front of you.

I trust you to make it work KH but I feel his lack of options on the bench are stinking out his ability to change things mid game.

Brynn

Brittain Ayling Malanda fry targett

Morris Hackney

McGree

Conway Strelec

We just need to start scoring more goals, take note Strelec, Whittaker in fact, all of them, it hasn't been enough, there hasn't been a player taking chances on a plate, of which I thought Sarmiento/Strelec was brought in to help where that is concerned

Shame we got beaten to the likes of Armstrong and the likes in January if true we were in for him

Man, this game always makes me think of Mark Viduka's sublime strike all that time ago ... one of the best goals I have ever seen. How he moved in small spaces, considering the size of the man, was pure magic ... still gives me thrills watching that it was ridiculous but beautiful

I doubt we will be seeing a goal like that from any of our lot Monday, if we even manage to get a point I am unsure ... I'm nervous

Wish we didn't do this same point every season, leave things on a knife edge dipping in form until the inevitable letting the chasing pack in because we didn't make the right decisions mid-window or indeed all season

Blow it this time, we know we won't hold onto the likes of Malanda, Hackney etc , surely. Summer will then be a massive challenge for us.

McGree has a few against Brum on his record doesn't he? Hope he is up for it today. a goal from Whittaker, Strelec, Conway, likes would be nice for their confidence. I very much doubt they're getting one each, but would be nice wouldn' t it ha ha

well, best of luck to the boys .. theyll need it

Even a point will be disappointing now, absolutely need to win, and for the first time this season, I don't believe these players have it in them.

Edited by Denzel Zanzibar

Yep, it's a must win.

A draw would only leave us hanging on to our spot by our finger nails now.

A loss and there's every chance that we're 3rd on Tuesday night, having played a game more.
