Swansea win this. We all talk about how many chances we missed, how Brynn should have saved that shot or done better. Also talk about a wayward pass that leads to the goal. UTB rinse and repeat

Putting aside the promotion permutations... It would be quite nice to just to win a game. Guess we'll find out if dropping to 3rd takes some pressure or makes everything worse.

Let's have it right. They have absolutely lost their head and bottled it in the past 6 weeks.

Unless Hellberg pulls an Easter Rabbit out of his hat and changes things your prophesy will come to fruition just as it has most weeks for the last few months now. It's the total and abject predictability of it that is really starting to irk me.

Wonder who won't be fit to start in this one after being ran into the ground on Friday.

It’s just boring now. We get close so many times and this season has been the closest. 2nd in January, all outside journalist and the fans could see. Sign a striker that is it. We all said the squad depth will come back to bite us and it has. Swansea just scored 3 against Sheff so they’re capable. They also conceded 3, but for us that means nothing 🤣

It's even better than that, we have two empty squad spaces, the arrogance of it winds me up. I had thought/hoped that there was a plan to bring in an out of contract player/s and we would then see the logic in it but no. We even got rid of Burgzorg and brought in an un match fit player who had been mothballed all season as a supposed "upgrade".

At least Scott/Bausor/Gibson or whoever have saved a few grand in wages while they relieved hundreds of millions up a wall.

Yeah I would have kept Nypan and got him involved more. There is a player there , just needs a run of games. Instead got castledine who is already injured. Sarmiento who more bothered about step overs, and munroe who can’t get a kick

Nypan was awful for us. There was never a player there. Never really understood when people said ‘he’s clearly a talented lad’. Is he? Based on what? He had plenty of chances to make an impact in games but continued to offer nothing.

I’d have sooner kept Burgzorg.

I wonder if Scott being unavailable had an impact on our January recruitment. It does just feel baffling that we were satisfied with what we had. Bar a loose link to Armstrong and Bamford we didnt seem to really to be pushing for what was obvious.

For tomorrow. Im entering the clutching at straws part of the grief supporting Boro period. Birmingham and Norwich are decent sides who i think next season will be challenging the top 6 so hopefully they can at least do us a favour. I will also put a bet on Millwall and Ipswich to win which usually lets me down. This is nothing but a must win game tomorrow.

Assuming there is no change regarding availability id probably start the same 11 bar Bangura for Targett (even if Targett is available). Perhaps Gilbert for Morris and move Malanda into the holding role. Mcgree is a gamble but I feel he is more effective starting than coming on. I do feel Hellberg has to gamble on some of his out of favour players ie Sene, Ibeh and Hansen.

As much as Burgzorg wasnt great i do feel he would have contributed and offered us more in these last few games. His hold up play was pretty good and I feel would have allowed us to set up better in the final 3rd. Thats not to say we should have kept, its more the fact we chose to get rid and not even try to bring in someone that offered something different to what we already have.

Burgzorg has started once for Bristol City. He wasn't good enough while he was here, and he hasn't gotten good enough now he's somewhere else.

I fancy a 2-1/3-2 away win tomorrow with something crazy like one of Conway and/or Strelec scoring.

Everyone keeps writing Millwall off but they are second. That might be biggest problem nobody is taking Millwall seriously until it’s 2 games left and still there or still with chance of doing it. I think nobody aside from Coventry has been great and would ordinarily get second just this season a lot of teams below average compared to regular championship season.

Yep, can't argue where they are in the league.

But I am basing my opinion and prediction on what I've seen from them and what their numbers are showing. And their defensive numbers are falling off a cliff...can we remember Hull doing something similar earlier in the season? Hull soon found that they couldn't continue doing what they were doing as it's not sustainable to keep churning out wins....

Granted there's only half dozen games left, but even so, Millwall will need a lot of luck if they are to continue playing like they are if they want to finish 2nd. Unless they start to tighten it up at the back, then I think Ipswich will overtake them with ease. On another day we'd have been 2-0/3-0 up at least, at HT and the game would've been done. The same happened for them at Ipswich (A), Hull (A) and they somehow got on the right side of variance and picked up points when the stats/performances heavily suggested otherwise.

Hope your right CT couldn't care if we play crap and win, anything goes.

Well I'm sick of seeing Conway on the left, he's simply not a wide player and doesn't have the ability/pace to cut inside on his right and get a shot off without it being blocked.

If the manager wants to play with a wide player then play a proper winger like Sarmiento.

We have been sussed out, time for a change of plan guys....

It seems that we are forgetting that Swansea will have a say in this game we must not assume we will beat them especially at their gaff (for the reading Millwall fans)

I think its fair to say that not one of our fans are assuming that we will beat anyone again this season.

I still have very little worries on Millwall...even more so after watching them against us. If they continue to defend like they did for large portions of the game against us, then they are only going to make it very very difficult to win games as their defending at times was laughable.

They gave us so many opportunities, but our lack of cutting edge put the game to bed, especially in that first half.

It is Ipswich who I worry about the most. Our lack of form just means that Ipswich don't even need to hit the turbo boost, to finish 2nd. They can be fairly average and should finish 2nd.

The game at Portman road is very likely going to be one that we need to win to continue our top 2 hopes.

A defeat tomorrow or even a draw will just give Ipswich even more room for error.

You do realise that quality defending (and I include goalkeepers in this) is also an art form, just as it is having a quality striker who nets you a goal every other game? Defenders can win you games just as much as your front men can.

I’ve seen us (both home and away) score a goal in the 5th minute and, through quality, stout defending, hang on to the end of the game to win 1-0. Yes, it’s not always pretty when that happens, but in some games (as it was against you on Good Friday) the opposition are on fire and have numerous shots on goal and all you can do is do your best to stop them scoring.

I’d like to know what you actually mean by our defending being “laughable?” Can you elaborate? In the 1st half a number of our players (and not only our defenders) threw their bodies into the line of fire to keep Boro shots from hitting their target. Isn’t that what opposition players are meant to do - stop the other team from scoring, regardless of what position they play on the pitch?

Millwall fans absolute hate Ayling as a player because he’s usually so good (and particularly against us) but when faced with Coburn, what did he do? He allowed Coburn to cut inside and hit the ball with his favoured right foot and we were suddenly 2-1 up. Wouldn’t the Boro fans have preferred Ayling to have just clattered into Coburn instead, thereby giving away a free kick outside the box which, when taken, we probably wouldn’t have scored with?

That’s the sort of thing our CB’s, Cooper and Taylor would have done. Nullify the initial threat, then regroup as a team and defend the free kick together as a team and hope nothing comes of it.
