Do you get firms/tradesmen who do the lot. What I want is the wall paper removing then the walls skimming and then all the painting done afterwards. So are there people who do it all or do I need to get a painter/decorator and a separate plasterer.

If there is such a thing does anyone have recommendations for Redcar area.

Thanks

Wish I could help but little of the members venture into this sub forum!

Yes I understand. Maybe I will post if somewhere else. Not a big fan of sub forums but thanks for replying.

From my experience the plasterers will prep the walls and skim, but won't touch painting.
If you can do any of the wall prep yourself (and clear the room out of furniture etc) I'd recommend it, it'll cut costs and that way you just have your plasterer to just plaster. Then what you've saved on that can do toward the painter/decorator. 😂

There 100% will be people out there that can do everything you want, it'll just be a case of ringing around a bit and asking. I know a joiner by trade but he's pretty good at a lot of other trades, but he won't do those in a professional capacity. So it could be a case of just ringing a few painters/decorators up and asking if they can do all of what you want.

Sorry probably not much help! But hopefully someone else see this.
