CurtisFleming 86 Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 Hopefully he will be gone soon,but if he feels it was such a bad mistake then if no one comes in for him at the end of the season he is gonna be kinda screwed come next year because he will once again have to face the Riverside crowd. Rather silly really to say anything. Has for people keep blaming Strachan for the latest Boro problems wake up and smell the roses this club was well into freefall before he got the managerial position. He was limited to who and what he could buy at the time and he went for what he thought was the cheapest. He was a lot more honest than Southgate at least he tore up his contract when he walked away and saved Gibbo a small fortune.So if you want to blame anyone blame Gormless Gareth he took the club for every penny he could. Yeah obviously it is Southgates fault for us being in the champ but then you could blame Gibbo for sticking with him. We are where we are through a series of bad decisions and unfortunate events. I simply mentioned Strachan because he was the manager who had the opportunity to change the side after Gareth and yet he still put together a slow, weak , unbalanced and un-creative team. ballyclover 213 Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Boyd wasn't a bad signing. No one on here doubted the guys ability and was a major coup for us to land him. It didnt work out, either due to lack of service to the guy or his own inability to play in this league. He has been honest and said it was a mistake, i honestly cannot see him doing any better at forest and can see him going back to scotland. He has burnt his bridges with the Boro, and i beleive TM has already said the guy wont be back one way or another as we cant afford him. Link to post Share on other sites
