Guest Noddy1989
I know this is a little early, with the game not even being released for a week yet. But I think there's still massive room for improvement with Fifa, and I think the difference between Fifa 10 and Fifa 12 is so minimal that EA are almost slacking on us. So I'm writing a list of what I want to see in Fifa 13. Without it, I think I'll bypass EA for a year as I'm not going to spend £40 just for a slightly updated game when they have 12 months to implement lots of new features. 1. Attacking Movement HAS to be improved. This is probably the biggest thing for me, players don't make intelligent runs and their positioning half the time feels like it's a 12 year old doing it. I think they could learn from PES with this, as PES absolutely nailed it this year. If Fifa can adopt a similar system I'd be happy. 2. The whole stop and wait for ball scenario. You know what I'm talking about, when you make a pass to a winger and he just stands there waiting to collect the ball, so an opposition player casually walks in and makes the interception even if all your player had to do was make 5 yards to pick up the pass. It happens at least once or twice a game, and it's annoying as hell. 3. I enjoy the new defending system, but they need different buttons for standing tackle and the from behind tug. This is because there's been times when I've been running behind a player and want to just tug at him to slow him down and get a tackle in, and instead he just tries to tackle which slows him right down and let's the opposition run away with it and get an easy cross in/shot in or something. 4. The Be a Pro mode needs to be better. I used to be a massive fan of this when it first came out, I now can't touch it. I play the PES version and it seems so much better in comparison. 5. They need to fine tune the passing. I'm not saying make it easier, because I like the fact it's not easy to do a Barcelona and play keep ball (even if my average possession stat is usually 65% online). They just need to fine tune it a bit, as in when you make a pass in a general direction and there's 2 or 3 players clustered together, it should recognize which of those players is the best to pass to and do that. As it's pretty annoying when you've got 3 players sat on the outside of the box, 2 are marked and one is nice and open and you make a pass to the edge of the box and it tries to go to the wrong player so you lose a scoring chance. I'm sure there's lots more they could do also. However I do think the career mode this year is the best yet, I love the scouting network etc etc.
Prowler 197
1. They do make intelligent run. 2. That doesn't always happen. 3. Yeah, I agree with this, maybe use the same button as contain or Y or something. 4. Haven't played it yet but if it's anything like last year, it needs improving. 5. Turn off assisted passing? I'd be able to prove that their runs really aren't that intelligent, compared to PES the players on Fifa run around like children. Especially when crossing it, it'd be nice if they just jinked their run more to get ball side of the defender, or at least hold off runs into the box until the ball was played in. Just things you see real players doing. The attacking players best movements all come from when you're knocking it back to them from the byline in my eyes anyway, might just be my playstyle but when watching my friends play I see they have similar problems. 2. Yea, it doesn't always happen. I didn't say it did :p It's just annoying as hell when it does, especially when you've got a decent chance to break (which seems to be the time when it does happen) 5. I could, but then I doubt it'd be any better. IT's just a small tweak they could make there. I'm not saying Fifa is *** either, it's far from it. I just think there's still a lot that can be improved. Also, Crystal Palace are too good on this game. Their players are fast as hell, noticed on the h2h thing there's a lot of Crystal Palace "fans". Prowler 197
Crossing is a bit of an issue, they've changed it so you have a lot more to do, either switch it to fully assisted or fully manual. The runs I've seen players make have been oustanding and I've scored some brilliantly worked goals from it. ...And don't try and use PES in an discussion with me, I've played the demo, it's awful. :P

I played the PES demo and found it very challenging so I'm going to need to get used to that. But because I wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped I would be, I tried FIFA 12 to see how that had progressed. Last time I tried it was 2010 version and thought it was ok then. FIFA 12 though is just awful to me. So slow I thought I was running backwards. Rooney looks like he's about 6ft4 and the players just don't feel like the players they are meant to be. The only piece I found FIFA to be good at is the controlled shooting. The main problem with FIFA though is that it just isn't PES, and I'm sure anyone used to FIFA probably thinks the same about PES. Prowler 197
I am used to both. I just think PES has gone down hill and PES12 is what PES08 should have been, it's 4 years behind whereas FIFA has continued to get stronger, it slipped in 11 but it's improved now, could be better (a bit of a passing tweak, tweak to Be a Pro and sort the opposition constantly just running to the wings) but that's about it. The last PES I bought was PES10, I traded it in after 2 days and decided to go by the demo's, I am still not impressed, hopefully they'll sort it out for PES13. The gameplay still feels dated, the balls feels like it's a rock etc...

Neverbefore 10,937
Excellent, I was dreading almost annual announcement that it has been delayed! Cant fecking wait, have the weekend its out booked off, no one is getting a look in for that 72 hours.
Neverbefore 10,937
Its starting to frustrate me how ridiculously hard FIFA is this year. For the past 4 games Ive played world class for the first couple of months then legendary till the next game comes out. Im really really struggling in professional this year. The computer never ever makes mistakes and their defence is always rock solid and people like dave kitson are absolute gods when controlled by the AI. I'm not bad at the game btw, Ive only lost 3 games online since it came out, out of around 20.

Guest Noddy1989
Just about to post that VB, I'm excited :D Who's everyone going to play as first? Downloading now! 52 mins to go... As always I'll play as Boro first, probably play through the 6 months given as them and then go try Spurs (I enjoy playing as them, think they've got a good setup) but when game comes out I'll probably go as York or Darlington depending on who seems better equipped to get good loans in for the first season. Neverbefore 10,937
Im holding out on my boro game till the game comes out and any bugs are fixed. And I always like to have a few other leagues loaded so I can get a wider range of players.
