I have 8 days (maybe 7, I ordered with Shopto, they tend to get things out early) to finish the final 35% of SR4.

It can be done! :P

I'm hearing rumours rockstar are demanding that games be sent out on the 16th and no earlier =\

But your right, shopto are 999/1000 times excellent at getting you pre orders early, that's who i have mine with.

The request to online retailers is an attempt by Rockstar Games to avoid customers receiving their copy of the game a day before the official launch. In the past, some online retailers have caused friction with game publishers for offering the game a few days early before the official release date.

Videogamer.com broke the story after obtaining an email from GAME, an online retailer, that was sent to customers who pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto V. The email states:

GTA V is released on 17th September and Rockstar, who publish it, have worked very hard to make it the biggest gaming launch ever. They have requested that no UK retailer despatch GTA V before the 16th September and GAME, along with all reputable retailers, will respect this request.

Amazon have had it at 35 when I can't order it so annoying, oh well I'll stick with my order with game.

i paid 5 quid to pre order it at hmv, will it be a deposit or does that mean that i will pay 40 for the game.

will be sickened off if i end up paying 5 quid extra just to pre order it

I don't trust Tesco to get it to me on release day and I can't change my order anyway, thanks though.

Knowing HMV it's going to be £50 from there anyway jamesp.

oh ***, ill be gutted if i have to pay that

The £5 deposit will be deducted from whatever your game price is, so if the game is £45 in HMV you will only pay £40

Well £50 is a bit pessimistic, but HMV are pretty idiotic when it comes to video game prices so I wouldn't be surprised.

Hopefully you'll only end up paying £40 total.
