Prowler 197
and Robbie Blake are also interesting names. Maybe 10/12 years ago. :P
boroinbishop 65
klasnic would bang them in for fun in the champo
Guest SmogOnTheTyne
I don't think Klasnic is a realistic move.
boro-unger 3,870
Sean Davis is interesting, I think he could do a job for a season or so. That Whitbread from Norwich could also do a job and could be the CB needed to allow Rhys to move into midfield. i don't want rhys in midfield, i know he can play there but i think he looks a lot more composed and natural in defence. he sometimes looks a little lost when he's playing CM
London_born_Boro_bred 29
Hahnemann & McFadden released by Everton. I reckon Hahnemann will be in search of 1st team football rather than 2nd at a championship club but I think he would be a decent signing as I believe Ripley will be out on loan next season to gain experience. As for McFadden maybe 3/4 years ago but not now would be a good squad player but not someone to get 15-20 goals a season.
Vergilius 2
Somen Tchoyi and Joe Mattock from WBA are on a free.
boksicdink 1,942
Tchoyi- not bad shout, strong winger, Mogga has signed him once
BoroG 7
I'd take Tchoyi, good experience attacking midfielder. Was watching him this season thinking he's kind of a poor-man's Yaya Toure.

Think of the anarchy those guys would cause patrolling the flanks!!!! :P
Guest SmogOnTheTyne
I think Somen Tchoyi would be a fantastic signing. If the wages were right.

Was thinking that SmogOnTheTyne, the wages could be a stumbling block. Seem to remember hearing West Brom have quite a tight wage structure though so he won't be after HUGE money. Armster 29
I'm quite anxious, excited, shocked, expectant with regards to the amount of first team players we've lost, and the amount and variety of players we need to get in. I think this will be the biggest change since the scottish experiment if not bigger :) Just to replace the people out of contract we need : 1-2 right backs 2 center backs 1 central mid so 5 people just to keep the squad numbers Plus its highly rumoured we'll be selling at least one other first teamer (bailey) So 6 people Any our strike force needs bolstering i think we'd all agree, whether thats ins or outs. So my totting up we'll need at least 7 new faces this term, with the majority being cheap/free/youths coming in. God damn i love transfer season lol :D Vector Vector Vector any news? :P lol j/k well not really :P lol :D w00p
Guest SmogOnTheTyne
I don't think we'll be seeing quite as many as 7 new faces. Mowbray needs to strike the right balance between outs and ins. Too many new faces can be damaging for a team.

Too many new faces can be damaging for a team. Whilst too many can be damaging, I actually think we're better off with wholesale changes now, pre-season. Bringing in as many as we think we need. Taking a gamble means we could get into the season, find out we're stuck for depth in the squad and have to get a lot more players in the January window. I think we're better off having what we need now, even if it means bringing in a lot of new players and being a little unsettled until it all gels. Better to have trouble at the start then gel, than to have a team gel and then be disrupted by new players in January.
