Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Agree with both the above comments. Back when football was more physical, ronaldo and messi in particular would just get broken. Football seems to have lost a lot of its grit and replaced it with glamour.

And for that goal, the keeper completely misjudged the timing he needed to come off his line. He breezed past 2 rows of defenders without one committing to a challenge. Good goal, but shocking all round defensive play from getafe.

Ji dong won has signed for Dortmund. wow

Something weird going on there... Why would Augsburg sign him then a day later let him leave to Dortmund. More importantly why do the words 'replace lewandowski' exist in an article about ji? He's not even a hundredth the player that lewandowski is. If I was a Dortmund fan I'd be crying myself to sleep tonight.

Do you think maybe Dortmund contributed to/funded the transfer to Augsburg, as Sunderland may have wanted more money from a club like Dortmund?Just a thought.

I doubt Dortmund would resort to that for the same of a mill or 2. Highly dodgy if that is the case. Most reasonable explanation I can think of though.

The cynic in me would look to ji's agent. Could he have shepherded him towards Augsburg because they were offering a higher agent fee? could he have also negotiated some kind of clause in his contract to ensure that ji could move on if he chose to? Would mean his agent gets a healthy sum, ji gets 2 signing on fees and gets to play for Dortmund.

I'm just speculating here, but I can't think of many other semi reasonable excuses for such a bizarre transfer.

Doesn't make sense to me. Shows a huge lack of ambition by one of the best clubs in the world right now. Doesn't send off the right signals to the players either.
