Non-Boro Football

Independently from whether the club was right of wrong in not giving Bowyer better terms, the way that the statement from Charlton's owner reads as petty, unprofessional and is just point scoring. Simply, it just reflects very badly on the them.

If money was that tight then Charlton would have been better giving better terms to Bowyer than spending £300,000 on Bonne from Leyton Orient today. Keeping a good manager - especially one which unites the club like Bowyer has at Charlton - is far more important than any new signing.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Pep clotet as interim manager and the rest of the backroom staff staying in place. Has Monk fell out with all of them? Sure when we got rid of Monk the rest went with him.

Think its just a case that his backroom staff are still contracted to the club so can't just walk away because Monk has been sacked. Imagine if and when a new manager comes in then Monks backroom staff will leave.

Monk to Derby?

Tbh they could do a lot worse. He is not as bad as his spell here suggests. Think he would still have Derby competing in and around the top 6.

Did Birmingham say why he'd been sacked?

Here are a few quotes from the owners

Quote

The board of directors are hopeful that over time the team can adopt a fresh and modern footballing philosophy

Quote

The board of directors believe this [Monk's sacking] to be in the long-term interests of the club," it continued.

It is vitally important for everybody at the club to be sharing the same vision and commitment to the plans and processes.

There were rumours he was *** at the Jota sale. I've seen some places now saying Birmingham accepted Gary Gardner +2m without asking Monk. Don't know the truth behind that but that's what I've seen some Birmingham fans saying today.

You might be on to something there!

- Swansea sack Clement 20/12/2017.

- We sack Monk 23/12/2017.

- Potter leaves swansea on 20/05/2019.

- Monk gets the sack today.
