Non-Boro Football

It feels wrong but I'm not sure there is really anything lawfully wrong with it. It needs to be considered wrong by plenty more people than us to make a change in that, though. Can't imagine the EFL really care as Wayne Rooney is going to be playing in the Championship.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Pretty sure it's wrong for the club sponsor to specifically pay for a player's wages.

I'm not sure if they are SPECIFICALLY doing that, or if the general sponsorship has been agreed at a totally coincidental time to cover his wages totally by accident guys.

I'm pretty sure 32Red will not be paying his wages. They'll pay Derby a fee to have their highest profile player wear the #32, which Derby will use to pay Rooney. Is it lawfully wrong for clubs to receive a sponsorship for a squad number? Players are already involved in club sponsorships, involving their numbers hardly seems like a massive jump.

I'm not saying I morally agree with any of it but I don't see how this is hugely different from anything other football clubs do. I certainly think the stadium thing is dodgier than this.

I'm assuming you applied for Wembley tickets? I applied for 2 tickets at all of the Wembley games and didn't get a single one!

Was it just final tickets you have ended up with?

Yeah Wembley. I was lucky enough to get semi final tickets as well. Too good to pass up but bit of money to shell out.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Derby have just landed a sponsor deal. Instead of it being an extra billboard or stadium name it's just a number on a shirt. I'd say it's very shrewd by Derby and I imagine they will have checked things before doing it.

Just watching Sunderland Till I Die and have to say Fletcher defo enjoyed it / toughened him up and 100% got more out of his Sunderland loan spell than I thought before.

Being there and playing? Or being part of the programme. ?

For those who were wondering why Traore was not in Wolves squad to Armenia....He forgot his passport?

That is such a wonderfully Traore-ish thing to do.

How weird is it seeing David Luiz in an Arsenal shirt ?

Also, good luck to Mo at Sheffield Utd!

I think Mo is a good signing for Sheffield United, he's got Premier League pedigree and offers them a bit of everything.
