Non-Boro Football

Recommended Posts

hope somebody can salvage something at Bury and that Dale does not earn a penny from his actions.....probably heading for somewhere in the North West Counties League....shame that council could place a compulsory purchase order on the ground for the amount he paid for the club.....or a covenant that the site could only be used as a football stadium.....probably not legally possible but I don't like the thought of people profiting from the misery of others....I have a sinking feeling Bolton will follow...too many people wanting something in their pocket to make a deal possible

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

There are hundreds of millions of pounds being spunked up the wall on player salaries a few miles away at the Etihad and Old Trafford, but Bury are allowed to be sold to a scumbag for £1 who promptly drives them out of the football pyramid.

I genuinely hate this sport at times.

It would be great if there was but the cynic in me wonders why they didn’t come forward sooner? Publicity seekers is my view.

I have, Bangkok and Koh Samui back in 2008, why?

I was based in the Middle East I had the opportunity to visit several places around Thailand over several decades and just back from Phuket. I do like the country, people and food and it’s a shame people only think of Thailand for its darker side. In Phuket King power was every where and football was shown live in every bar big or small. They are football crazy.

Thailand was my dream destination for a very long time so I jumped when I got the chance to go. I love the culture and especially the food, tried all sorts of street food and yeah they are footy mad over there. Koh Samui was a bit touristy and I prefer to explore the "real" side of foreign countries but Bangkok was incredible.

Was not part of the problem that the EFL refused to review more than the original bid before the deadline and alternative bids were not reviewed by them at the time. The EFL is turning into a mini Premier league more interested in their own and the club owners power and prestige, than running the game for the benefit of the fans and players.

I didn't know that tbh. It is a disgrace if that's true.

I don't see why there isn't some kind of FFP type system where owners have to prove that they have the funding to cover the next 3 year period (A bare minimum of paying wages and keeping the lights on) and have to commit to funding it and if they can't prove they have the funding they should have to sell the club or secure the funding before that 3 year period is up.
