Also AVB has offered his resignation at Marseille because they signed Ntcham without him knowing.

I saw that, good on him, the whole thing seems abit fishy to me if the manager says he’s rubbish and not to sign him yet the club do it anyway, it’s a very odd.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Fair point. But I do wonder how much attention the average fan actually pays to shirt sponsors, or even the advertising hoardings (except maybe at half time).

Personally speaking it barely registers with me.

While I agree things like alcohol, gambling and payday loan companies are not things to be encouraged, I would argue TV and internet advertising are far worse (i.e. more effective) than football sponsorship.

While I have a minor ethical issue with clubs being sponsored by companies like this, I also think its a pretty minor part of the overall problem, particularly when much greater advertising and exposure exists for them elsewhere.

I get this, don’t have an issue with 32red, apart from that 80k a week Rooney deal with derby, not sure how that was even allowed.

I didn’t like having Ramsdens though, thankfully I’d bought one of the shirts with no logo just before that deal and kept that for match days for a few years. Though most people elsewhere thought it was the fish and chip shop anyway.

But will Woodgate now be caretaker manager

Will be their assistant manager Purches in caretaker charge not woodgate. Hopefully they fall for a woodgate PowerPoint and give him the job full time.

If he takes a paycut I'd have him. Not sure he fits a Warnock side though 😂

Very true. He's a hell of a player, but I don't see him getting on the end of many long balls and holding it up for 5 minutes while waiting for the rest of our players to catch up.

Well if they're stupid enough to sack a manager after just 6 months for losing 4 games in a row, I reckon they're gullible enough to fall for Woody's schtick.

At least until they sack him mid-April.

Absolute madness!

Okay they've lost 4 in a row, but they're still in the play-offs and have just appointed Woody the Wonder Coach.

(A surefire recipe for success)

He'd been in charge for just 6 months FFS!

Why does no-one give managers time any more?

Nothing against the club itself, but here's hoping for a swift slide into oblivion to teach the idiot owners a lesson.
