I can't see him having any more luck here, tbh.

Hahah yes I agree, and of course that point is equally applicable to Woodgate

England were absolutely shocking tonight.

Must be taking defensive tips from Middlesbrough.

might be a good thing......they are still young and if they stop believing the hype and just get their heads down and graft, they will get there.....with luck....

It doesn't help that so many of the back 5 are currently out of form in the league. I've no idea of Trippier but otherwise it's pretty out of shape.

Great win for Denmark against the Swiss on saturday. Wasn't a great match and we had to thank Schmeichel in the end. Three world class saves Darren Randolph style ensured we won. Wasn't pretty though. Almost Pulis style but I can somewhat live with that when it comes to the national team especially against a good side. Now we need Ireland to take points off the Swiss. That would almost see Denmark and Ireland qualify for the Euros. Fingers crossed @Neverbefore

Good boy 😉

Btw - That was some really good assist from Eriksen!

Typical him .. Anonymous for 80+ minutes, then pops up with a game changer 😄

Fingers crossed @Blanco 🍀

Yes indeed SD. I think if we can somehow fluke a win against the Swiss it would put us both through and make the final game in Dublin a dead rubber between us. That would be a bizarre ending to the group but a very welcome one.

Did you watch the game against Bosnia @Blanco? Hate to be down about the NT but its difficult to see where we are going to get a win from. Connolly looked good but raw on Sat, but we need a Richie Dunne vs Russia type performance I feel to get anything from this game.

Assume you mean Georgia @boroie? Yes I did unfortunately and I thought it was dire from us. I did say if we could “fluke” a win against the Swiss we would be through along with Denmark (taking it for granted they will beat Gibraltar). Stranger things have happened in sport before and will happen again. I’m just hoping it is our turn to defy all logic tomorrow evening. I always look on the positive side with both Ireland and Boro.

Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett have been sentenced at Derby Magistrates Court after admitting drink-driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. They have been ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work, 12-month community orders and disqualified from driving for two years.

Seems reasonable to me. Note that it said somewhere that Lawrence had recently lost his mother and had been drinking more in her absence. Not the kind of thing you usually hear in these situations when we so often dehumanise footballers to the extreme because of how much money they make. Gives a better picture as to why Derby should choose to rehabilitate him, whether that is ultimately the reason they have chose to do so or not.

Bullshit, far too lenient and the only reason Derby are "rehabilitating" them is because they'd be *** without them.

    • This day 15th November 1994 - Boro's young guns go down to Ancona in this Anglo-Italian compatition Boro took the lead after 10 minutes then struggled to impose themselves on the game, the youth in the team v experience they were facing proved too much in the end, with Ancona levelling on the hour mark & scoring 2 late goals in the 80th & 90th to put the game beyond Boro
    • Thing is, we almost certainly will offer him less money. And I don't think based on what he's said that he'd outright deny just less than what he's on. But tackling the wage bill would appear to need more movement than that and actually, a significantly less wage. I wouldn't expect him to stay on those terms. I'd say if the club really cares about wanting to keep him around, they need to approach it carefully, even if they are going to low-ball him to begin with, don't be a *** about it and expect him to say yes to anything because of a commitment to the club. Have a high boundary that you can't go beyond, work up to it and if his representatives think he should say no to our highest offer then we leave it at that and on good terms. No taking the ***, no expecting him to be accepting a pittance for his services on the back of the club as a whole's mistakes, something much bigger than Ayala's responsibility at this club. Most importantly for me, we have to accept the likelihood he leaves and hopefully wish him all the best if he does. I think he's been a great servant for us and I hope, unlike Derby, we treat him as professionally as he's treated being a player for this club.
