Our only chance is a top drawer performance from Randolph and a big Shane Duffy header in the last second of the game

Duffy is one of the main reasons why Andreas Cornelius was rested on Friday so he can play 90 mins tonight. Big guy that can handle Duffy. Duffy is definately my main worry.

It's being reported that Tony Pulis turned down the Cardiff job as he is hopeful of getting either the job at Southampton or West Ham. Apparently he does not want to manage in the Championship anymore and sees himself at Premier league level. Tbf he is probably correct in reflecting on what we have said previously, he is much better at setting teams up not to lose (PL survival) than to win games (Championship promotion).

Leeds have opened a development centre for youngsters in Middlesbrough, hoping to find some quality.

There's also an interesting discussion going on in the comments on the Gazette live Facebook page, apparently Boro have gotten rid of a lot of their scouts and said in a letter to them that they are moving in a "different direction".

Given our current situation, I think we should be casting our net far and wide for bargains, not limiting ourselves with smaller numbers of scouts.

There are people also saying that other teams watch the TJFA but Boro don't even have a scout at games, which could obviously be wrong but you do wonder why Leeds would be setting up a development centre if we were snapping up all the best young talent in the area.

I would be staggered if he ended up at West Ham.  Even Southampton seems a stretch, given their particular way of doing things but I suppose they could get so desperate that they forget about all of that.

'Going in a different direction' could just mean 'going down the cheaper route'.

I think it means downwards.

I know they've been bad lately but that surprised me.

Gone before Ole or Emery too.

    • well seems Braithwaite will be able to get another mega contract and be spending half the time not playing¬†
    • Could be 30-40% of profit due to the hit we took on our original fee.
    • I get what you mean. I have seen both be reported before. A club getting a % of total fee and a % of profit. Maybe % of total fee only comes in to play once selling club sells above a certain figure? Either way if he goes¬†we will be due a % of ¬£11m (Leganes profit) or ¬£16m (total fee). And either way i expect it to be a 6 figure sum we get.
    • Is a sell on clause usually on total fee? I‚Äôd always assumed it was on increase in selling fee over what previous club had sold player for I.e. on profit the selling club makes. If it is on total fee then a club selling a player on at fee they paid would actually make a loss, after deducting any sell on fee. That seems odd?
    • Haha i hink in the cold light of day you would reconsider that stance. I dont think i dislike any player in the world to extent i would disregard ¬£4m coming¬†our way. I also dont think it is ¬£4m. His release clause is ¬£16m so¬†dont think there would be a 25% clause. I would say more around 15%. Which is still over ¬£2m which i would happily add to our transfer kitty for summer. What happens¬†to Braithwaite i could not care less.
