I think it is this current one that's included. The finals of it were due to be summer 2021, but obviously with the postponed Euro's that's been pushed back. Remember that WC 2022 is a winter World Cup.

Ah yeah of course because it alternates with the two summer tournaments.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

So 2022 World Cup, 10 groups winners of each group automatically qualify.

The 10 runners-up plus the 2 best Nations League winners (that haven't qualified for 2022 or finished runners up in the group) then compete in a 12 team play-off system. Split into 3 groups of 4, a 2 legged semifinal then a single leg final. Winner of each final then qualifies (3 winners).

Like to make it a bit complex don't they!

Anything for a few extra TV games to make money. Completely unneccesary.

I don't think there's actually any more games played by individual teams with this format.

It was a max of 12 games the last three times, it's a max of 12 games this time. It's been largely the same in the 21st century, I cba going further back.

The only difference now is more teams qualify directly and fewer qualify via the play-offs, with a greater number of smaller qualifying groups.

Player to look out for Youssoufa Moukoko made his Dortmund debut tonight as a 16 year old. His record for the under 19s is 44 goals in 17 games. He replaced Haaland who only managed 4 goals tonight.

He's not related to that gadge that used to be on Champ Manager, is he?

Been talking about this guy to my mates for a while. So Dortmund actually petitioned the Bundesliga to reduce the minimum ages for playing to 16 years old.... specifically for this player.

Dortmund registered him in their squad at the start of the season despite knowing he wouldnt be able to play for the first three months.

Kid could be a star, his record at youth level is mental

Horrid. Sucker punch for WBA, United get a pen, miss it, then it gets retaken and they score.

Looked like a blatant case of VAR being used to ensure the "right result".
