Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Centuries ago Villages had ducking stools whereby if the person drowned they were innocent and if they lived they were guilty and sentenced to death. Nowadays not much has changed sadly. Idiots postin

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Crazy game on BT, Sevilla v Salzburg ..  forty minutes .. four penalties, all legit.  Three to Austrians, first one missed, second one scored, third one hit post, then VAR check gives Sevilla pen and they score. Salzburg should be out of sight but now looks like going in level at half time...  it's a funny old game 🙂

watching tiraspol v shakhtar on BT ESPN...  enjoyable game ...  Adama Traore just scored with a beautiful volley from a cross by a Brazilian full back named Cristiano..  names to remember. both look as though they would be suited to British game..  not afraid to get stuck in.

Great news.

At least that concludes the saga. Lucky for them that they have had a decent start to the season everything considered, and will "only" be 7 points off safety. But with only 4 goals scored I doubt they will have the firepower to make up the points. They can't 0-0 themselves to safety. Maybe it will save Houghtons job as Forest won't be last.

Maybe I'm biased, but nine points with another three suspended seems relatively minor considering there have been five confirmed breaches of EFL rules, one of which had also occurred in a previous season and not pursued at the time.

A nine-point gap is a big obstacle for a struggling team but it's not insurmountable, and it hardly confirms relegation. Considering all the broken rules and financial duplicity, I think a season in League One is the minimum Derby deserve. Hit a purple patch, and they could shrug this setback off by May.

It's not as stern a punishment as it should be, but I think it's because the EFL have struggled to indisputably pin charges down on them.

That and Derby have successfully contested a lot of what they were charged with.

9 points is a hell of a lot better than the fine they were initially getting, even though it should be guaranteed relegation in a just world.

    • What a difference a week makes! Brilliant to see the new signings starting to come good. Looks like the new head of recruitment can spot a player!
    • I’m not getting carried away, again we have played better against a struggling Cardiff team.    Im worried that we don’t seem to string passes consistently together but then when we do we seem to create clear cut chances. I wonder how good we would be if we did that more often.    Happy for Payero today, I really think he’s made our midfield a bit more dynamic and without Howson and McNair in there to slow it down we look better going forward.    Tav is so wasteful. I wouldn’t want to drop him, but I think he thinks he’s better than he is and I can’t work out why he doesn’t play the obvious pass but then would moan at Uche for not squaring it to him.    Uche was a handful all game and I’m gutted he didn’t get a goal, another day his left footed curler goes in.    We rode our luck and should have conceded but the luck has been with us the last two games so it’s about time.    not getting carried away but can’t complain with three wins and clean sheets on the spin. Go team.
    • At least Warnock has a future in HR training when he decides to pack football in.
    • Hard to argue against me being fickle given I was vocally calling for a change after Hull.  We've lost this season with better performances than against Peterborough. We've also only beaten 3 poor teams, but I'm back on board right now, and I'm glad to be so. I like Warnock as a person, so even when it was going badly I wanted a change for results rather than because of who he is.
    • Derby drew again. You're not gonna stay up by drawing, guys
