Hopefully it will raise the profile of all the NE clubs. maybe we can have some dodgy middle east prince buy us. that saudi princes mate or brother lol. Yeah we'll just ignore the massive human rights issues and murderous regime, as long as we can attract better footballers eh

Not to say what you're saying is true or false but if that is your understanding, I don't really understand why you would be accepting of blood on someone's hands because it's so widespread. Condemn it all, surely. Ultimately, there are alternatives.

So how the hell is there any kind of separation between government and company? Seems to me like a very lame attempt by the PL to whitewash over the facts and fudge the fit and proper ownership test. Any Newcastle fan happy with this really needs to question their moral compass.

They likely don't need to fudge it, because "human rights" don't actually feature in the fit and proper owners test, believe it or not.

I’ve always said if someone buys a north east club they’ll be hugely successful, as they have fan bases that you don’t get down South and can’t buy. Whether Gibson would entertain it or not I don’t know, but I’d love to see Boro competing at the top in my lifetime. Boro doesn't have the same fan base as Newcastle or Sunderland. Like it or not.

They are a Monarchy as such, as are many around the world. This as many gulf states stem from its religious and tribal heritage. They are of course either Sunny or Shi'ite which of course is why the Gulf has experienced so much conflict. Basically, religious wars Each, both or either align and keep the tribal and religious connections by inter marriages there by remain in power and maintain the wealth.
