Good. Would have been gutting if this season was derailed by interest in Carrick.

Not sure if it's accurate since it's since came out that they're giving him the Wolves game.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

I'm sure they'll have sounded out replacements, he's clearly on very thin ice

I don't like West Ham but haven't forgiven Wolves for knocking us out of the Cup quarter final in 1981.

Also, to sell Morrison and pay 3 times as much for O'Neil was one of our worst deals.

Wolves to lose and O'Neil a P45 for me.

Never seen a game with a more likely sacking after it than West ham vs wolves. Which one is the question. Will be happy to see Gary o Neil's smug mug canned

Do they play each other next?  Proper Thunderdome game that one.

Even worse for the two managers then cos there will be extra attention on it.

I’ve seen it referred to on Twitter as ‘El Sackico’ which I thought was pretty good

What if it's a draw?

Do they both get sacked, or both survive 🤷‍♂️

2 men enter, no men leave?

the managers could win and still get the boot if the right person has said they will take their job lol

Stockton 2 Oldham Athletic 0  .   Handy result against a team two divisions higher in the pyramid 🙂

wonder how much man utd have burned on hiring and firing ashworth :classic_laugh: I kinda feel like everyone hated on the glazers but think they were doing a better job than jim lol

everything always seems like its 150% one direction then they suddenly U turn to 150% the other way, and constantly burn money doing it and *** people off along the way.

United's problem is that in the past, they had one of the best academy/youth system in the UK and rarely fielded a team that wasn't predominately home grown and regarded themselves as equals in the respect they had all come through the system. Since the arrival of the Glazers, it seems as though that philosophy has gone and they are incessantly linked to whoever is flavour of the month in Europe. Players seem to be bought and sold for the sake of it and any good players that come through the system, like McTominay,  are being sold. Has it reached the stage where commercial success has become more important than on the field results?

Homegrown players are worth more to teams aren't they if they're sold vs. players they've brought in. It's why there was such a transfer-fest earlier this summer of teams essentially swapping young players for ridiculous sums of money.

But it's also come as a necessity for some teams - when you buy someone like Casemiro and pay them the amount you do, good luck getting any return on it. Those types of signings have to be for the success of here and now. United either don't see that or they seem to stupidly think they're one or two experienced quality players from becoming a success the next season. It's baffling.
