Can just imagine the child being told "You're not getting the shirt till you've done all your homework, tidied up your room, mowed the lawn and eaten all the veggies on your plate...  If I have to watch this team, you're going to suffer too" 🙂 ...  or maybe he just has a mam who cares.

Was that Edwards last game with Luton?

To be honest I don't think that they can afford to sack him their money is very much tied up elsewhere.

They will leave hi in place until end of season and hope that they retain Championship status then decisions can be made

Anyone watch the Old Firm Derby?

A very strange "performance" from Celtic to the point where it looked suspicious. Players just couldn't be bothered chasing balls that were passed to them, no fight or aggression to the point of looking disinterested. Considering the bragging rights in Glasgow and even allowing for their fairly unassailable lead in the Premiership I have never witnessed any Old Firm side with such a demeanour (I'm trying to choose my words carefully).

I was expecting a rip roaring, blood and thunder Derby and instead watched one side who were up for it and another who couldn't have looked more disinterested if they tried. That the game saw the record number of shots against any side in the history of the Scottish Premiership made for very uncomfortable viewing.

I think Old Codger hit the nail on the head.

Title's already in the bag, along with the bragging rights. Weighed against progression in Europe, 1 derby match isn't that important, sadly.

Celtic consider title already theirs, the only concern was getting through game and saving themselves for European stuff. They wanted the Cup but not a necessity, so might be a few more similar games in next few weeks though they are probably quaking in their boots about the prospect of facing Olusanya and Boyd-Munce at the weekend 🙂. To be fair to Rodgers, he won't be happy but if he gets to next stage of Champions League, then the fans will be dusting off the "Champions of Europe" stuff...  in their dreams.

Makes a fair bit of sense. Though in a way its sad that "player management / protection" has now apparently even spread to Glasgow.

You couldn't imagine it happening 20-30 years ago.

potter is running some courses for the PFA https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1997103/Graham-Potter-new-job-West-Ham-Lopetegui-sack probs wouldn't stop him taking a job tho, but is something that probs pushes the see saw of him getting the west ham job more on the not happening side of things (unless he wants to do this as well and has put it in place so west ham have to accept it if want him and let him do both)

I think it's really demeaning how they've treated Lopetegui tbh.

Not bothered about them sacking him, but it being leaked publicly for weeks and them cancelling his press conference but still making him take training when they're clearly just about to sack him is poor.

Personally I have a feeling it may blow up in their face, I've never rated Potter

sounds like he got a 2.5 year deal with them, not 6 months like they tried,

but think if they are certain league positions they have a break clause with him

If i was him, I'd have held a no holds barred game in training. "Oh sorry about that Mr Sullivan, half the team seem to appear to have broken legs all of a sudden..."
