Djed Spence has been a revelation for  Spurs since he's started playing again. Are Boro due any more money if certain criteria are met?

Probably still due virtually all of the £8m in add-ons.

He only made his first ever start for Spurs last month.

Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

I think udogie is one of the most overrated players I've seen in recent years, he has a real chance of becoming their first choice left back for the rest of the season.

Udogie is going to be  out for a while, might not get his  spot back when he returns.

Good to see Spence knuckling down at last and putting his career first and foremost. Purely from a selfish point for us and try to obtain some of the add ons within the transfer agreement.

It's fair to say he looked a player last night and I would imagine it was his best performance to date in a Spuds shirt.

yeah but no one knows what the criteria and money actually is but could be upto 8m.

but given how long the deal took to get agreed and how hard I think both sides usually go with these things I reckon some might be achievable but I think levy will of tried to be as tight as he can on them add ons, sure some will come in if he gets in the team for a season or two, as you would think there is a lot based on games played, which is a true way to show how useful the player was to the club. we will have a sell on as well on him, so if new manager comes in and wants to replace him, after this spell they might get decent money for him and bring us a few more million in. sure there is more money to come if he keeps playing even if the team does not really do much with him in it

hopefully the lads grew up a bit, when younger it always seemed his issue was over confidence, entitlement and attitude.

As we all knew there was a good player in there, he just never seemed mature enough to be 100% professional with the talent he had. I'm guessing getting the dream move and then flopping and going out on loan to mixed success but returning to a new manager has probs been the restart and kick up his ass he needed. I think when he is trying to prove a point is when you get the best out of him. he's on a good run so will be easy to manage at the moment

I just think the thing to watch out for him is when his form is opening him up to criticism, he has all the trades of his generation of people who cannot handle it and probs reacts badly to it. hopefully he grew out of that, as if he has and remains professional there is no doubt we are due a few more million from him. they re-upped him 2028, so thats great for giving us more time to achieve them and protecting our sell on clause.

Sean Dyche sacked by Everton too.

Just hours before a cup game against Peterborough.

Great timing!

Wonder if Everton's owners will be talking to Rob Edwards? 🤪

Another of those where if you've any ambition at all you let him keep you up last season then have a successor in place early in the summer to move on. His style/effectiveness of football will only ever have you entrenched in the bottom half of the prem in 2025.

Similar to Warnock with us, should have let him keep us up, thank him and move on to a new plan.

they had an owner not spending any money he didn't have to (he had a negative transfer spend in the summer too), he wasn't gonna add dyches payoff to the books if he didn't have to, as it would just make more debt which would give him less money on the exit. now that debt is on the new owner.

they only completed the take over a week before xmas, they probs been looking for a new manager since they got the club handed over to them, probs got someone lined up to drop in quick next week, I'd imagine anyways given the windows open and the new owners probs wanna drop some money with someone new to start and make changes for their era of ownership

but yeah they had zero ambition other than selling the club in the summer 100%
