Just watching City v Salford and noticed the font on the back of the city kit

It's 2025. HOW & WHY are a club like city using a font like that? Looks like a version of Comic Sans following a mental breakdown.

I guess because they are Man City they can, the FA will just add it to their ever lengthening list of misdemeanours and kick it further down the road, that's assuming it's even in conflict of the rules which City seemingly ignore with impunity anyway.

Welsh EFL clubs seek FA approval for Europe plan

The Welsh clubs have said they'll exclude any income gained from playing in Europe from financial calculations in the EFL or PL, I can see that being the deciding factor and I feel like the FA will agree to it.

It's not something I agree with as a concept, but I actually think it'll put them at a big disadvantage in the league going forwards with fixture overload, so I think the objections will calm down.

They'd be competing in a 46 game league, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Welsh League Cup and then one of them will have a minimum of 2 games in Europe, they'd need to be play 4 two legged qualifying matches just to actually reach the group stage where they'd have another 6 games, but won't be able to spend any more than they currently can.

Anyone watching the Arsenal v Spurs game?  Some interesting playing out from the back from Spurs 😀

It’s cringeworthy stuff at times 😆 Spurs have an interesting left back that we should look to sign seeing as we have an obsession with signing Left Backs who used to play for us 😂😂😂

We think we are bad it but Spurs tonight have looked worse than your average pub side at times.

If they go down because of a points deduction that'll financially ruin them unless they sell him, and then what was the point in the contract?

It wouldn't ruin them, they'd just break ffp and have to take a penalty.

they won't go down because of a points deduction, if they did you already said what the solution is if they can't stomach it. It's likley he would probally ask to leave anyways if that happened, there is even possibility he has some relegation terms built in just in case.

This contract don't stop him moving on, it just means city don't get short changed by the release clause, this is how you buy that out. if he wants to leave you would expect them to have him settle on what he is owed if wants to leave. its not like he will end up worse off on his next move when it comes to money, he on 500k a week I've just read, so going to take 600k a week elsewhere.

factor in they only paid around 50m or so for him (so thats a massive massive saving on what they could of paid for a player like this), and one the main reasons he took deal was because they gave him the release clause, then its all been quite a solid bit of business.

they have essentially bought out his ability to ever leave on a free transfer as well. he's going to have to flop hard or get seriously injured and not recover for them to get a juicy deal when ever they sell him, even in the later years of this contract you would imagine at least the saudis would drop a massive fee to MC. by then there could be other countries emerging offering daft money as well if the other rich states follow the saudis lead, or leagues like MLS become more popular and profitable and start to spend more. just look at what happened with mbappae who psg probs feel like he took them to the cleaners

mad tho how his wages before tax are likely how much it costs us to run our club each week in the last set of accounts
