Their is a fascinating article about the Boro in today’s Athletic... Nine championship games in 29 days.  Following a team in their maddest run ever.    Neil Warnock was on the pit

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I probably shouldn’t have made things public, but I was at as very low ebb. It’s been a difficult year, not made better by COVID. Lockdown bucket lists aren’t

Seen a few transfer feed posts about Marcus taverner linked with a summer move. Any idea if we had a sell on for him anyone?

Ive read this morning Browne is likely to get a called back up to Ireland for the Internationals. Im surprised he has been ignored for so long I just hope it doesnt impact on his form for us.

It shouldn't.

He's not played excessively for us, so fatigue shouldn't be a problem, and I think they're only playing one game if they lose to Czechia, so he'd be back with a week to spare.

Worst case for Boro, they get to the final and he's only playing in Dublin, not far away at all and there are still 3 days before we play Millwall.

Obviously he and our Irish supporters will be hoping they do get to that final.

I would too if we weren't already going to struggle with McGree and Morris being on the other sides of the world a few days before we play Millwall.

It will be two games regardless. If Ireland lose the first game they have to play a friendly against the loser of the other game. It will be in Dublin anyway

Ahhh, I couldn't see that written down anywhere, so I assumed it wasn't happening.

I knew that's what Wales were doing.

Obviously got to want Ireland to make the final then, if they're playing regardless.

World Cup qualification might even be one of the add-ons for Azaz 😂

Been thinking this for a couple of months honestly but

Apart from Nuno Mendes, who in the world is better than Lewis Hall?

Walks into the starting 11 at the World Cup

Spurs being even more Spursy. How much spursy could you get

amazing how far they have fallen since they pushed levy out. They were unbelievably well run under him, fair do's they were not anything flash, exciting and he clearly penny pinched at times, but the business he built behind them was among the best in the league.

now seems like its being chucked away, might as well bin the manager and put woody and keane in charge to finish the job off

They finished 17th last season and Levy only stepped down in September.

They're not where they are because of their January window.

He's part of the reason for their predicament.

yeah I suppose your right, last season was pretty bad. still mental how far they fallen, it should never been this bad this year. I expected them not to get dragged into the weeds again this year and learn from last season (bit like man utd did under Amorim).

I suppose his timing of leaving probs handicapped the current board even more, as if the current owners were trying to get him out behind his back, then that must have impacted their summer plans quite a bit. Does seems strange that they waited until after the transfer window closed to tell him he was sacked (rather than just doing it in May/June/July since they already had that power and control having twice as many shares as him).

Maybe that gives you an insight to the bad decision making at board level they have. I'm a firm believer that most managers will not outperform bad board decisions, and when they do it still normally leads to the board thinking this is the new level of clubs performance and they sack them soon as it drops back to the original expectations.

looking into the time line on line seems like their problems got worse as they gave the Lewis family trust more control over the club and that is who sacked Levy to put younger family members in control.

Although I would personally find it quite funny, I would hate to see them drop to our league........ only if we are still here next season. Although i'd say the same about West Ham, Forrest, Leeds as well tbh (in that order of wanting to avoid them all). Next year seems a strong jump in difficulty with who ever the 3rd club is going down are clearly going to try and make a strong statement of intent in the transfer market to get the fans back on side.

Then u also have Burnley who probs as much as shout for instant promotion as anyone (based on past seasons, i'd never bet against them) and Wolves I reckon will get this league sooner than later if our favourite family member is still in charge, plus their board probs spend some money trying to get the fans back on side too (they have a interim chairman, i'd assume a new one is appointed after this season to give the board a facelift to distance relegation from the board and look forward to better times).

then the likes of Southampton (due to come good next season I reckon), Sheff Utd (should have been there this season if they didn't sack Wilder) should all be in the mix

Likes of Norwich should be involved in a promotion chase for playoffs at least, I'd expect Birmingham and Wrexham to continue throwing more money on their championship transfer bonfire they have started, and I've always been hesitant to dismiss Leicester even with this terrible season they are having (as feel if they got their act together they could still be a strong contender with some good sales and purchases next summer).

If I had to put money on one thing, I think its mid to high 90 points for automatic promotion if some of these teams get consistent really quickly, just hope we are not here to avoid it all.
