New goalkeeper, Danny Coyne will start the game after Brad Jones picked up an ankle injury in training. Jeremie Aliadiere, Afonso Alves, Didier Digard, Marvin Emnes, Jonathan Grounds and Tuncay Sanli will also miss the game through injury. David Wheater is set to start the game in an attempt to regain match fitness ahead of the opening game of the Championship season on Friday 7th August. Gary O'Neil, Julio Arca, Mark Yeates and Adam Johnson are all likely to start in midfield. Jonathan Franks is also likely to start up front. oneboro 160 Posted July 29, 2009 Author Share Posted July 29, 2009 Boro played out a draw against Oldham Athletic tonight in their penultimate pre season fixture. Middlesbrough FC started with Danny Coyne in goal, with Williams, Wheater, Hines and Taylor in defence. Justin Hoyte started as a right midfielder with Walker, Arca and Johnson making up the midfield. Aliadiere partnered Jonathan Franks upfront. Oldham went ahead through Chris Taylor as Boro's defence was split open by one ball. Boro levelled after 58 minutes when Williams headed in from a free kick taken by substitute Mark Yeates. Robert Huth replaced David Wheater and doubled Boro's lead after heading home from an Adam Johnson corner. Oldham levelled the game with a superb free-kick from Keigan Parker. Middlesbrough FC travel to Millwall on Saturday August 1st, with admission priced £12 adults and £5 juniors. Link to post Share on other sites
