Armster 29
not THAT bad, but has significant improvement to be done, looses the ball to often and slows down attacking play, seems to be scared of the penalty area as well as far as I've seen. In mogga's team we'd be applauding him, in karankas team the standards have been set higher
BearSmog 1,382
I agree he does need to do more.. Maybe he would benefit from a spell on the bench I just hope it doesn't knock his confidence too much because from what I've seen her seems to be a confidence player
p_mards 1,365
GazetteBoro @GazetteBoro · now3 seconds ago GOAL and it's super Dael Fry!!!!! 3-3 #Boro U21s have done it!! Our under 21's have come from 3-1 down away to Reading, to draw 3-3 with a stoppage time goal by Fry. That's 6 games unbeaten now for them.
BearSmog 1,382
Our youngsters are certainly showing grit and determination which can only be a good thing for the future! Just read that we were down to 10 men when we equalised too as McAloon was off injured and we had no subs left

jamesp 125
Halliday gone on loan to Bradford for a month
p_mards 1,365
It's a good move all round, especially with his contract running out at the end of the season, it's a good opportunity for us to put him in the shop window ahead of hopefully getting a reasonable fee/clauses for him in January. The top end of League 1 will be about his level at the moment. I think he will have no trouble adjusting to the physicality/work rate of the league.
Downsouth 6,327
Yes hopefully things will go well for him though I am a little surprised he did not go back into the Scottish Leagues

The top end of League 1 will be about his level at the moment. I think he will have no trouble adjusting to the physicality/work rate of the league. Can't see us getting a fee for him, but maybe a sell-on clause if a club can get him for free in January. Wouldn't mind him leaving as we are currently paying wages for a player who is never ever going to be in the first team squad.
p_mards 1,365
If he does well at League 1 level, then I can imagine a few clubs be willing to stump up a reasonable fee like £100,000 plus clauses(or even on a free but with a decent promotion fee and percentage of sell on fee etc). As otherwise, as is often the case with free transfers, they play hard ball by playing clubs up against each other, in order to drive their wages up, so the fee that the club will pay in January will get them the player immediately without all that uncertainty and probably have to pay the majority of the money saved in a transfer fee, on the players increased wage demands. Many clubs will look at it that way I think. I'll browse the Bradford forums after games to see how he does there. Hopefully we see the likes of L.Williams going out on loan also. jamesp 125
Great article. sounds like he is really enjoying his time here. Also sounds like the club is being very well run too, like what he had to say about Gibson.
Brunners 7,982
It's nice to see Woody is still an active and important member. Also good that he's picking the brains of a man like AK. If AK pans out, maybe Woody is to AK what AK was to Jose!
