BoroSmoggie 2,710
That Holland looks a decent player for Oxford.
TLF10 4,496
Not sure if its been mentioned but website has training pics up from today session. It seems every player bar long term absentees Dijksteel Ayala and Roberts were involved. Good to see.
Liquid 284
An interesting mini documentary this, also contains loads of clips of Morrison from various clubs he's been at. It would be amazing if we could unlock him, I for one would love to work with him. Sounds daft, but where we are now as a club, he's our only chance of having a world class player on our books. We've needed a real star since Adama left.
wilsoncgp 9,283
Woody confirmed the behind closed doors game against Celtic, it's gonna be Tuesday next week. Mentioned whilst speaking about Shotton and Friend coming back, playing on Friday against Blackburn and Celtic on Tuesday.
TLF10 4,496
In his radio interview Woody said Steve, Neil and Karen done a great job in tying down the young players to new deals. Anyone know who Karen is?

Hope he does well. Looked a little overawed v Spurs. Club must feel he has what it takes to offer a 3yr + 1yr option.

wilsoncgp 9,283
Woody mentioned to Mark Drury I think that him and Spence didn't get through pre-season well but Liddle in particular worked hard to get involved in the first team, thus his appearances on the bench whilst Spence basically benefited from the injury crisis and made the absolute most of his opportunity in the first team. BoroSmoggie 2,710
Also it confirms that Liddle is 19. I’m sure some posters were saying he was 21 after the spurs game? Makes it even harsher for the criticism he got after his performance

Not that it matters in the context of the criticism he got, he's still played the same number of games whether he's 19 or 21 and some of the criticism was a bit horrid. wilsoncgp 9,283
Sad though perhaps somewhat unexpected, I wouldn't want to put words in his mouth and make things up but the way Phil Parkinson puts it suggests he's going through some mental trauma, perhaps on the back of his mother's passing away coming up this time last year. He's still working with the medical team at Sunderland whilst taking a break. I wish Grant all the best and hope he comes back into the side soon.
RiseAgainst 3,793
Knowing what a warrior Grant was for us, he's the last player who'd normally take time off. It must have been a very reluctant decision for him to step away, so I hope the break lets him regain some equilibrium. Good on Sunderland for giving him the opportunity to recover, too. Football needs more managers like Phil Parkinson.
