Downsouth 6,175
Round and round in circles and action speaks louder than words. We have our answer I think
Skinemrippers 894
If Woodgate and his inexperienced coaching staff were the cheap option, why will they cost so much to get rid of?!
edinboro 804
I'd be happy to have McClaren on board. He's only our most successful manager ever. Get the next two games done and then sort things out. I'd get him in now personally.

His stints at Newcastle and Derby weren't exactly much to write home about.

Because they are on 3 year contracts and like I say Keane has a hefty release clause in his for early termination
edinboro 804
Perhaps we are just where McClaren is supposed to be. Let's be honest, we cannot get much worse so nothing to lose.

It’s not like we were trying to entice world class coaches. It was Woodgate’s best mate. And if the rumours are true that Keane is barely even there, no doubt we agreed to that as well. Dan_Boro_Till_I_Die 1,179
@diggerlad07 if what you have said has some truth to it then it doesn't surprise me. It's like we are stuck in the past with no sense of what to do. Woodgate gets sacked then it will be someone experienced again and then it won't work then we will go with a rookie again... Round and round in circles.

Round and round in circles. I for one want Gibson to come out and be honest with the fans whats happening behind the scenes are and what the future holds - but that will never happen in a million years. He is to blame for this whole mess! Forget Karanka, Forget Agnew, Forget Monk, Forget Pulis and Forget Woodgate and put the finger at the man at the top who lost interest a long time ago and should be blamed. Smoggydownsouth 1,621
Players turning on each other after the game... management falling out over selection...not just toxic in the stands... this only goes one way I think. 1 1 3

Gibson needs to step in and put an end to that at once. As you say, that only goes one way!
ManBearPig 1,833
I'm sorry but if Keane has a hefty release claus or severance package, who ever has put that deal in place is stupid. On one hand they expect the players to gain experience and work their way up, but they are happy to dish out lucrative contracts for inexperienced management staff. Again, clueless from top to bottom. Imagine Gibson holding his nerve, not sacking Woodgate and then taking the Boro down because it was the best financial option available to us.
