A great Athletic article on our youth recruitment in London (copied from the other site): Saturday afternoon in the north London postcode of N22: on White Hart Lane a steady stream of fans make t

Superb article from The Athletic published today... Gives you a real sense that something special is being built. We've been crying out for this for so long.   Michael Walker 2h ago  2

The Times interview today with Chuba. I’ve missed all the pics out as I don’t know how to get the whole article across and it’s behind a firewall, but you get a good feeling of what he thinks.

Exactly, and he'll immediately block anyone who questions him.

Has anyone ever seen a team in administration only sell 1 bit part player for a total of £30k, yet complain that others are causing them financial issues and will be the cause of their liquidation?

Lawrence, Sibley, Buchanan, Bielik, Knight and Jozwiak more than cover the money they need to reach the summer. Wonder why they're not interested in selling them...

Especially when they likely will leave in the summer if they do manage to survive that long. As they won't want to be playing league 1 football.

I cannot understand how they're not getting pressed on this. They think they can stay up by keeping the players - that's why they're so desparate to paint MFC and WW as the one and only obstacle.

The EFL have raised it as other bids were turned down. They probably need one good sale to get them financed until the end of season. The added bonus is they could get the transfer embargo lifted and bring in a couple of players as well.

They keep talking about it as something to be proud of. Their statement today about the first team, again, no question they want to keep the squad together with Rooney by any means necessary. The only reason this could be at this stage is they feel they can stay up and this is allowing bidders to stay more interested in the acquisition.

Mentioned earlier but when Nixon mentioned they've found an alternative way of funding the last few months of the season, fans immediately asking about the transfer embargo. Now, I could be wrong but why on Earth would a club in administration be going out of their way, into the transfer market to strengthen their squad in the same breath as demonising a claim for money from other clubs.

That being said, if they want to sign Uche for £5m...

The championship is going to be more and more used as a glorified pump and dump scheme.

A line needs to be drawn in the sand of these continued efforts of gambling an entire footy club on immense gambles of wild accounting practises and breaching FFP to pump clubs into the prem and then hope to flog it to other buyers later on.

Why the *** should Gibson just roll over and accept this crap when it screws us over and it explodes for those clubs where it fails. If an example isn't made it'll keep on happening

The EFL nor the politicians want it to end as they see it as drawing in investors into the UK no matter how risky it is. It is a disgrace.

The wagons are beginning to be circled, there could be a danger of liquidation here. Noted yesterday how certain politicians (especially ones around Derby) were warming up to pin Gibson as the scapegoat.

Gibson has spelled it out as best he can without setting himself up for libel.

Putting the club into administration was convenient and they're desperate to conclude it to maximise that convenience and it's disgraceful.

It's a good open letter but Gibson will get heat for it as again the UK elite just want easy solutions to enable them to flog the UK footy model to keep bringing in investment and desire easy solutions for when it fails. Like I said it's turning the championship into almost a high risk stock market.
