We get Chelsea every time in the dress rehearsal. The gods want revenge for Di Matteo's game-spoiling early goal in 1997.

ScarBoro 856
Former Palace owner Simon Jordan being interviewed about Boro claim against Derby (no, I don’t know where he come into the dispute or how he knows what he says - but it is interesting). Is he a mate of Gibson? Middlesbrough reportedly wanting £45m compensation from Derby County for the effect of their Financial Fair Play breaches on them is a "work of fiction", according to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan. "What I understand from Middlesbrough and around Middlesbrough is this £45 million figure is a work of fiction. No one has talked from Middlesbrough's side of things about £45m," he said on talkSPORT. "I don't believe Derby will be allowed to implode but I do believe a discussion probably needs to happen between the administrator and Middlesbrough saying 'What is it you want and how can we do a deal?' rather than perhaps terminologies and legal jargon being thrown around by the administrators to threaten certain clubs with 'You ain't got no case'. "There is a legitimate concern, it needs to be rectified." Steve Gibson, from my experiences of him, is a pretty fair guy," Jordan added. "If he's got an issue there's normally a legitimate reason behind it. "There was always a back-of-my-mind mentality with Mel (Morris) and some of the things he did were a little bit cute to overcome some of the obligations. "I don't believe Middlesbrough or Wycombe are holding Derby's feet to the fire. I think they think they've got a legitimate claim and they want the administrator to deal with it properly. "What the administrator is doing is seeing Middlesbrough and Wycombe as an obstacle to be able to exit the administrator how he wants to do it."

I suppose 🙂 im not statistically savvy but from memory alone i recall liverpoolv chelsea in an early round a few years ago plus a manchester derby offsetting that it would be eye-oprning to list all chelseas cup draws from the last 6 ish sesons they seem to get a massive amount of simple passages mostly home ties ,

I think a lot of it goes back to their mutual hatred of agents. I don't think Gibson will want to be the man that liquidates another club but if there's a genuine reason for his claim then he's going to follow it up. He's first interest is going to be us and maintaining some semblance of fair play.
