I know it must have happened loads of times through my years following the Boro but walking home soaking wet at a rain storm Riverside got me thinking back to September 1976 home to the the mackems & February 1990 away to Villa in the Zenith data systems semi final first leg, all games were played in awful rain storming conditions with Boro losing 1-0 to turn each game around, as we did v Derby & win 2-1.

We're obviously made with stronger stuff.

UTMB

That walk back to the station on Saturday was the wettest I’ve ever been. Absolutely drenched!!

Yep it was awful, never let up throughout

My mum and dad live in Marske, so had to get the train back to Longbeck. Loads of delays getting back sitting in totally wet clothes so it took absolutely ages. Weather was 10x worse in Marske - all my clothes and trainers wet through and had to leave for London the next morning. My mum did a cracking job of getting all my gear washed and dried for the journey home 🙂

Heres one for you Erimus , the wettest I remember being was coming back from a game at Ayresome Park against Benfica, friendly I think late 60s I was with my Dad and a van ploughed through a lake of water on the road off Linthorpe road by Albert Park sending a tidal wave over us both. I can still remember to this day my father wea absolutely raging, so Erimus what was the date, I reckon late 60s but could be early 70s,

Not Boro but England v Netherlands in Portugal in 2019 Nations League in Guimaraes, post match waiting for the trains back into Porto was the wettest I have ever been in my life (and I've been in a Cat 1 Typhoon in Japan in Sasebo 2018).

It was absolutely miserable!
