I appreciate what you are saying, but the stats still indicate that Leadbitter and Clayton are vital cogs in our machinery. They are heavily involved and they execute the game plan well. From the games I've seen its clear that it's not leadbitter a job to venture forward and play a killer pass but rather give the ball to someone slightly more advanced. I really don't think Forshaw can play his role and Clayton is unstoppable atm. I agree that we could try Forshaw in no10 role.

A great Athletic article on our youth recruitment in London (copied from the other site): Saturday afternoon in the north London postcode of N22: on White Hart Lane a steady stream of fans make t

The Times interview today with Chuba. I’ve missed all the pics out as I don’t know how to get the whole article across and it’s behind a firewall, but you get a good feeling of what he thinks.

Superb article from The Athletic published today... Gives you a real sense that something special is being built. We've been crying out for this for so long.   Michael Walker 2h ago  2

That's all well and good when we are not chasing a game, but it's infuriating when we are. Sometime you need players to break lines and create two on ones.

If I'm honest I don't think Foreshaw can play the No. 10 role. It's such a different role, you don't get the time or space you do as an 8 or 6 and you are generally facing a different direction.

I think he could, but it would definitely require a different variation on the role. He wouldn't be a number 10 in the same way that say, Downing or Tomlin are, but possibly as more of a deep lying playmaker. I suppose the best comparison would be when we played Butterfield in that role. It would require the wingers and full backs to play a much more attacking game.

I'm not saying that we should play him there, as we have at least 3 players who can fill the role better, but just speculating on how he could get into the team with Clayton and Leadbitter.

I agree, for me (Clive) he seems like a proper box to box central midfielder.

Townsend commentary *shivers*

If anything Clive I typed it almost too well.

Once that was typed, it stayed typed Clive

That's better Clive.

Said it before, but he just comes across as a great bloke. Would love to get him on a OneBoro interview.

The more I see and hear of Nugent, the more I love him in our shirt. Seems like a really great bloke and puts his heart into his football.
