Just out of interest, why were very few people wearing masks inside the ground yesterday. Surely that should have been one of the rules of entry. It didnt really make us look good and may have reduced our chances of continuing the experiment with an increase in attendance. Had i been there I would never have done so without a mask on.

It wasn't mandatory to wear a mask in your seat.

Everyone was wearing a mask when moving around the stadium though.

Great quote from Kevin Blackwell in the Athletic today 🤣🤣🤣

It's my birthday today, meant to be my 30th but I've refused to allow that in current circumstances of not being able to celebrate it. I usually get my age on the back of one of my shirts so I re

I can't imagine that game getting approved by Hasbro...

You mean

Premier league
Champions league

2x FA Cup

 Europa League

and Super Cup winning Ross Turnbull

all this was achieved in his 7 starts for Chelsea 💪

6 trophies in 7 games? That must make him the most valuable player of all time 😂

To think he started at the Boro 🤗

Who are we all going to choose? I reckon CT is nailed on to sponsor Johnson.

🙂

A multimillion Pound business wants me to hand over some more cash to sponsor an employee?  Next time I'm in Tescos I'll ask about sponsoring my favourite shelf stacker as well 🙄

Callum Kavanagh signs a pro contract. Just a couple of months after signing up as a scholar. Gives an indication of how highly he is rated.

Every U18 game I've caught recentlt (the latest 3 2 loss to Derby highlights are on their website) he looks a level above his age group.

U23s by christmas is my guess that's the test for me if he stands up to the test in the 23s I'd have him involved in next summers pre season he's good enough and big enough physically to get the fast track treatment if he stays injury free and keeps his feet grounded.

Any word on how NW is doing with covid?

Nothing on the club website, or Twitter (that I've seen).

I'm guessing it'll stay quiet until his isolation period ends. I'm sure if it turned serious there would be another update.

    • They'd have a statue of him erected outside Pride Park. 😂
    • That is why the EFL are trying to reach agreement with Reading. Then there will be no appeal.
    • It definitely would be, but I'm fairly confident we won't have  given how much effort has been put in to limiting spending since 2018 and how aggressively Gibson has called out other owners. He'd have egg all over his face and look like a right ***. Still if we broke the rules, we'd deserve the punishment.
    • True. I won't argue Karanka did a lot to bring about his own downfall with his poor man management skills. However, I don't think we had a particularly strong squad, when it contained the likes of Forshaw, Guedioura, Stuani, Clayton, Leadbitter, Fry, Friend, Gestede, Fischer and a bunch of others who you'd consider solid / above average Championship players...but not really PL quality. Think there are also some parallels with Farke and Norwich. A manager with no previous PL experience, with a squad that maybe wasn't up to scratch.  Even for a good man-manager with great motivational skills, it would have been a tough ask. For a tactician and disciplinarian like Karanka, when things started going wrong, it was always going to end in tears.   Just checked Wikipedia and I may have to retract my comment about Gibson not backing him properly. If the figures are right, we had a net spend of around £20m that season. Fischer - £3.8m  De Roon - £12m Barragan - £3m Fabio - £2m Traoré - £7.5m Gestede - £6m Bamford - £6m Guedioura - £4.5m Thats nearly £45m worth of signings. 😮 Though of that lot I only regret us losing Bamford & Traoré.    We also sold several players, but the only disclosed fee was Reach for £5m.
    • You would have the Derby fans paying tribute to you for sure 🤣
