I think this will be an incredibly tough game but I also don't believe it's a game that our season hangs on. Leicester deservedly go into this game as favourites. They are at home and on the back of an incredible run of form. I won't be surprised or disappointed if we come away with nothing.

That being said I also believe that this is actually the perfect time for us to play Leicester. We go into this game with nothing to lose, we're not expected to win. If we come out of the blocks from the first whistle and press them high up the field we'll give ourselves a fighting chance to have a foothold in the game. The performance needs to be as was at Burnley if we are to have a chance at winning this game. There is no team in this league we should fear. I don't believe Karanka will let our players go into this game believing we won't get anything (that's what the fans are for haha). As long as we go out and give a good account of ourselves, I'll be happy.

I like to try to be optimistic so I'll say 2-1 Boro. Looking forward to this game, hopefully it will be a good advert for Championship football with two of the best teams in the league (in terms of current form) battling it out.

Thought you may have had more than that.

With your good form.

never really seem to take many to leicester for some reason. had some good away followings lately though. 1.5k to blackpool, 2k to bolton and we have already sold 1800 for doncaster

Might even sit in on your match day thread for this one.

Not going as a long trek and have to much on atm

Hey you guys seem ok and not knocking you.

But the forum seems a little long winded and not so user friendly.

Ask Weasel about our's or is it I'm an old techno fobe lol

We'd be interested in what it is about your forum you find to be different. I'd been browsing in there earlier and thought the set-up was mostly similar to this one but that the pages loaded a fair bit quicker on your forum.

Is it the front page that you mean is a bit long winded? Most people spend their time and most likely have their URL saved for the Boro Forum part which is where most of it happens on here. The rest of the forum links on the front page are for more specialist sections that are frequented much less.

Interested in feedback anyway from someone who uses a different forum.

Cheers

Ok to start with we don't get a thank you page for posting. (seems a waste of time)

Your replys ours just show what you have replied to yours seems to show all replies.

(With a particular user)

Tried using your smilies but (may just be me) cant seem to get them to work.

Also what other fans like is we have different forums similar to you but a lot say they like.

how it is set up.

Also our user info is down the side not at the top of a post again less scroll down space.

Register and see what you think like I say I am not great on computers and ours seems easier user frindly ( yes I am used to it but found it very easy to use from the start)

Oh and the red and white is not good lol lol

Oh and the red and white is not good lol lol

Oh we also have a +1 button for reputation at the bottom of each post. (some would like a -1 button)

Really not sure on your site how you do that.

This is the type of game we win. See cardiff last year and southampton the year before. Everyone expects us to get a thrashing and we somehow manage to nullify the opposition and conjure up a bit of magic or two. Whilst I would be at all surprised if we lost, I reckon it'll be 2-1 to boro! :) here's hoping!

Well, what a rude forum you have then!

I've never like forums that have user info down the side tbh. Think ours is one of the best laid out forums around (although I am biased :p )

When you click reply, right under the text box there are two tick boxes, one which is "signature" and one "disable smilies". Check that the disable smilies option is unticked.

I see what you mean about quoting all the posts in a conversation though. It is a tad annoying :p

Yeah if I reply/quote on foxes to your comment it's against your comment.

Not what we was talking about over the last 2hrs.

Yeah sometimes just reading you may have to scroll backwards to see a previous post to make sense.

But in most cases you understand just by what is in the one post.

You have just had to go threw a whole screen just to read this.

Weasel made a comment on our forum about it.

My original comment was back at him.

Was not having a dig just what I observed fairly quick in here.

Hope you have taken it in the right way and if you think it would be an improvement hope you can make the changes.

Saying that you PM button is far better than ours.

Thanks for the opinions - I thought it'd be useful to have an "outsider" share as from time to time our forum owner does look at improvements and all feedback is good to capture.

    • I don't think either of them is in any way better than our level either. They're good for a top half championship side but they wouldn't see a minute in the premier league. Maybe in a few years Time, but for now definitely not
    • MFC v QPR, Friday 17th April 2021 Kick Off: 12.30 Location: The Cellnet Riverside Stadium "Tenth versus Eleventh... Will we see a major swapping of places in the league?" This Saturday, an early kick off sees the showcases a dramatic limp towards the end of the season for two teams that may have harboured promotion hopes at the start of the season. The kick off time was rescheduled following the sudden death of Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh so as not to clash with his funeral. There really isn't a great deal to play for, for either side in this one. We could swap places in the league. We could try and get some winning momentum to take into next season. We could play some of the kids, see if they are any good. To me, this season now feels a bit like the last few weeks at school before the summer holidays. You've already had your report, the weather is getting better and it doesn't really matter what you do now as it's not going to make much difference. Fresh start next year! Fry and Tavernier are still unavailable for this one. Assombalonga's brief cameo at Bournemouth probably didn't do him any favours for the rest of the season or next. It looks likely that we might see Josh Coburn given some game time before the end of the season. He's a striker and looking like he might be a good one for the future, may as well see what he can do now!  No doubting that our woefully inept loanee keeper will be given another chance to demonstrate his lack of ability. He reminds me of an outfield player who has had to play in goal because the proper keeper got sent off or injured during the game. I keep find myself thinking "a real keeper would've done better..." a lot.  VIEW FROM THE OTHER SIDE A quick look and I found this here. Basically of the same opinion as most of us. Nothing to play for. Give the reserves a chance. etc. etc. FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS Give us a goal John O'Rourke played for the hoops after leaving Boro in the 70's Mickel Beck joined QPR on loan from Derby after leaving Boro in the 90's Warnock saved from relegation then guided QPR to the Premiership in the 00's. TALKING POINTS Meh...
    • Ah got you! Yeah in terms of players we have signed post-relegation, I don't think there has been any.  You could argue the likes of Dijksteel and Bola would potentially go to clubs further up the chain than us. If they did you could have them as examples, but that is all hypothetical at the moment.
    • Adama was also brought in when we were playing at a higher level, whether he was ready for that or not. He was brought in to play at that level. The reality is he wasn't ready for it and Pulis made it so that he was, for sure. But it's not like we spent a less than significant sum on a player whilst we were in this division and made them better. Braithwaite has the trajectory, but as you say he didn't get his move to the Spanish top flight because of his development here, it was for the same quality and expectation we had of him when we brought him here.
    • I did mean our second relegation! But Adama is the best/only recent example that fits the bill imo. It's not good.
