Clean sheet is the only positive really... very much a meh game. Wigan, you would think would pick up at least a point from their 2 games in hand, so thats us behind them!

So sorry your effort was not rewarded B-U

:( who's up next?

Well at least we have gained 8 points from this time last year

Well, it's not a terrible point. In fact it's a reasonable one. And you build from the back, so another clean sheet as well as two offensive signings supposedly in the pipeline, and I'm still feeling pretty good about our prospects.

The biggest downer is the injury to Rhys, for us and him. But at least we're not short in that department.

Haven't played football for 2o years but surely to good it can't be that difficult to find a forward who can kick a ball into the back of the net.

Maddo has heard a whisper we are after 2 forwards. Jeeez call MI5 he is wasting his talents.

The teams that have games in hand on us and can overtake us with a win goes down to 14th. I'd imagine at least a couple of those will gain points on us.

False league position, need to start winning, need a striker in

We could really do with a striker & a playmaker, but I would still rather get nobody than overpaid panic buys. Its all about building for next season, and the best business will be done in the summer

Can't afford to scrap this season already though

Who said anything about scrapping the season?

If there is good players available now at the right price and I'm talking about players that we would be interested in even in the summer then by I'd like to see us sign them up BUT only the right pkayers that fit into Karankas long term plan.

I don't want panic buys to try and make the play offs, this season was about turning Mowbrays shambles of a start into a project, and I think that has been successfull so far, lets mot ruin it with silly panic buys!

    • I didn't say it did. We had a better squad, and more investment than them, they still cheated to get the squad that they did have. Cheating doesn't necessarily make you better than somebody else, it just closes the gap. Derby indisputably cheated, and they finished above us because they cheated.  Waghorn, a player they breached FFP to sign ahead of us, scored 5 goals that led to two wins and two draws. He assisted 2 goals that led to a win and a draw. He also scored another 4 goals and provided 1 assist that helped lead to wins, but weren't integral to them. They finished above us by 1 point, and a player they cheated to sign was directly responsible for at least 12 of their points that season.
    • I would love to attend this if it happened to fall on when i was next in Middlesbrough. Unfortunatley living just outside of Brighton makes the journey a little difficult but i would be very up for this!
    • So important.  Wilder totally justified in his comments about Crooks being first choice and Payero having that as a barrier.  But the importance of team spirit and bond will be crucial.  Injuries/suspensions will likely come into play and feel for the first time in a while we are trying to ensure we have cover in all areas of the pitch that have the attributes we highlight as being required for them.
    • I wouldn't equate the difference between our combined abilities from season start to end, within our club from the top down, to being like they were on performance enhancing drugs compared to us. They cheated but I don't think that suddenly made them or their squad in any way better than ours. That summer window was quite possibly the worst we've seen since relegation, too. There is so much about that year that fills me with dread to think about because we handled it so badly from start to end. Derby spending beyond their means didn't, or perhaps shouldn't have, affected us anywhere near as much as we seem to claim it has.
