Somerset Boro 98 5.1k
I'd go Hart, Heaton, Ruddy Walker, baines, cahill, jagielka, Shaw, Johnson, Dawson and maybe that prowse something from southampton. Gerrard, Wiltshire, Ox, Lallana, sterling, lampard, Rodriguez, Johnson Rooney, sturridge, lambert, wellbeck
"KM" 1,805 14.7k
Hart, Forster, Ben Foster Cahill, Jagielka, Cole, Baines, Walker, Johnson, Dawson, Lescott Lallana, Sterling, Gerrard, Lampard, Wilshere, Barkley, Johnson/Milner, Chamberlain, Henderson Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert I'd try fitting Welbeck and Carroll in their as well maybe at the expense of one of the midfielders and defenders. OldManGravz 2,012 6k
Not one mention of Shawcross. Disappointing. Personally I think he's one of the best English defenders in recent years. Definitely better than Lescott/Jones/Smalling anyway. I also don't see a win here so may aswell ditch the elders and give the younger lads a bit of experience in a major tournament, get ready for France '16. Here's my 23: Hart. Forster. Steele. Cole. Baines. Walker. Naughton. Cahill. Jagielka. Shawcross. Shaw. Lallana. Sterling. Wilshere. Barkley. Johnson. Henderson. Ince. Ox. Rooney. Sturridge. Zaha. Carroll The Steele thing may be a bit biased but why not get him in the frame, even if he just trains with the squad and doesn't play?
2plus2 293 6.8k
Bit controversial with a lack of strikers this! But I'd genuinely rather we play Rooney & Sturridge up top (presumably in a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1) and opt for one of our other attacking options as part of the two should one get injured... GK: Hart, Foster, Forster. CB: Cahill, Jagielka, Lescott, Jones. RB: Johnson, Walker. LB: Baines, Shaw. CM: Gerrard, Wilshere, Henderson, Lampard. RM: Johnson, Townsend. LM: Lallana, Sterling. AM: Barkley, Oxlade-Chamberlain. ST: Sturridge, Rooney. Other options... Ruddy - might be able to force his way in. Green, Stockdale, Butland & Steele - no chance. Richards - rate him very very highly, but clearly far too injury prone. Cole - lack of first team action should cost him, especially with such fierce competition. Gibbs - too injury prone Bertrand - not enough first team action. Shawcross, Dawson & Caulker - only player they could oust is Jones, but his versatility is too important. Carrick - good player, average form, poor team, better current options. Cleverley - not so clever. Rodwell - disappeared off the face of the earth. Barry - good at what he does, but think his England career has come to an end. Young - no thanks. Milner - good, esp to shore it up late on whilst still offering a threat going forward, but doesn't start enough. Shelvey, Downing & Lennon - all offer something, but come up short. Sinclair - another disappearing act. Morrison - blown it with his attitude, niggling injury antics and willingness to jump ship down a division. Zaha & Ince - excellent prospects, but this tournament comes too soon imo. Welbeck - just cannot make my mind up about him. Defoe & Lambert - natural goalscorers, but can't see them finding a spot. Bent - nope. Carroll - too injury prone at the moment, but wouldn't rule it out as a different option. Rodriguez - has done well, but again just highly doubt it. Walcott - broken, mahoooooosive blow. Somerset Boro 98 5.1k
I can't believe I'm the only one who would like.to.see Heaton given a chance. No one would have given burnley a shot at promotion this season and I think if they continue to do well be deserves a spot on merit

cornishboroboy 343 1.2k
Wouldnt take Glen Johnson. John Flanagan has been much more consistent and deserves if only a look at pre-tourno friendlies before RoI snap him up... I would also take a few more Southampton boys. Powlay 35 2.1k
Cole. Baines....... Shaw. You would take 3 left backs to a world cup? I can't believe I'm the only one who would like.to.see Heaton given a chance. No one would have given burnley a shot at promotion this season and I think if they continue to do well be deserves a spot on merit Giving a player a international world cup spot on the merits of doing well in the championship? Surely if thats the case then Schmeichel could be there because his side are top? Robert Green as his QPR side have conceeded less goals than Burnley? DonnySmog 9 1k
I can't beleive people are putting players like Naughton, Shawcross, Shaw, HEATON and Lescott in there final 23. Unless there are serious injury problems then these players will be no where near the final 23. Some of them won't even be in the provisional 30 pre final squad announcement. I know it was a 'who you' would like to see but serioulsy!!!
boroinbishop 77 9.8k
For me it would probably be: Hart, Forster, Ruddy Baines, Shaw. Cahill, Jagielka, Jones, Liam Moore (a bit oddball but has been fantastic for Leicester this year, would obviously be 4th choice) Walker, Johnson Gerard, Henderson, Barkley, Wilshere Johnson, the ox Lallana, Townsend Sturridge, welbeck, rooney, Rodriguez Only 22 there, not sure on who else i'd take
