Uwe 3,565 10.6k
Is woody still crocked? Thought he'd be back by now. That is if Omerou has gone back
Borodane 8,466 28.1k
I think we'll definately concede in this one, so it's a matter of us finding our scoring boots and scoring at least 2 goals if we want the three points. Even though the season is over I desperately want us to finish it strongly and carry some belief into the summer.
OldManGravz 2,835 6.8k
Mclaren should and hopefully will get as good a reception that mogga got when he came back to boro as manager or west brom. Team I'd like to see Konstontopolopolopolus Varga-Omerou-Gibson-Friend Leadbitter-Chalobah Adomah-Tomlin-Williams Graham Not a huge fan of Williams but we don't have many other options If Omerou isn't avalible then, well, god help us. With 4 good cb and 3 of them injured or in doubt that is worrying. Prediction 2-1 derby or 2-0 boro or 5-1 to boro with a seconf half double from a boro Argentine (sound familiar) That's probably the team I'd go with, and if Omerou has gone back I'd play Chalobah at the back and put Butterfield into one of the holding positions (But I imagine we'd have seen something by now were that the case)

Aarfy_Aardvark 38 5.6k
I have no issue with McClaren. He will get a nice round of applause but that's about it. I hope we thrash his team tbh - but no malice towards him at all. He did well at the Boro and I'm glad to see him doing well at Derby. He deserves another crack at the Premier League. I really hope they go up along with Burnley and Leccystare but in no way should we be in a giving mood on Saturday.
Redcar Pebble 10 435
It'd be disappointing if McClaren was given a bad reception by the fans. I'd also reckon that Omeruo has gone back just for treatment, I don't see why Chelsea would want him back right at this moment, considering they don't really have many injuries in defence (or they may have, I don't know). As for the team: Dimi, Varga, Gibson, Omeruo/Woody*, Gorgeous George, Leadbitter, Chalobah, Adomah, Tomlin, Williams, Graham *If both are injured, Chalobah into defence and Butterfield in his place. LukeR 44 2.8k
I'd like to see Morris given a go in midfield if Omerou is back at Chelsea, then put Chalobah into defence
borobaz 362 1.7k
There is the possibility that I may have a spare ticket for this game. I will confirm a bit closer to the weekend but please PM me if you fancy going if the opportunity arises... only bad news is you have to sit next to me. Not 100% confirmed, but pretty likely :) P.S. Not asking for any money for it, but a small donation to the link below would be most welcome from the person that may get the ticket
Redcar Pebble 10 435
Omeruo has just posted on Instragram that he's coming back to Boro tomorrow, so hopefully mean he's alright to play for the weekend

p_mards 1,913 8.6k
What's happening with Woodgate?. Usually when he's injured it's for a game or so but he must have been out injured for about a month and a half with no sound that he's getting any closer to fitness. It seems that his injuries could have eventually caught up with him with his age/injury record. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him retiring at the end of this season. Also Ayala has been out for far longer than the initial 6 week spell out. He must have had a set back in rehab or poorly diagnosed in the first place. Maybe he will ONLY be wheeled out when all else fails and yes it is very quiet on the Ayala front though the club have previous in wrong diagnosis:-/
p_mards 1,913 8.6k
Karanka has said lately about how short we are of defensive options yet there hasn't been any update about how far away Woodgate is from fitness, which hints that they may not have a clue lol. Our defensive record has been remarkable under Karanka, more so because of we have been without our 1rd, 2nd and 3rd choice CB's for very long spells. Also with our goalkeepers changing so much throughout the season with Steele starting first choice(until red card/injury), then Given, then Meijas(just one game before injury), then finally Dimi. I cant think of any clubs in any divisions coping that well with having the depth of their defensive unit tested. Gibson and Omeruo deserve huge credit for what they've contributed to the second half of the season, where they've stepped in for long periods and added solidity where it would be understandable for 4th and 5th choice young CB's to struggle. Brunners 9,523 25.8k
I actually feel pretty bad for Meijas to be honest. The dude comes in, expecting to be able to challenge for game time, starts his first game and then breaks a finger (I think that was the injury?) almost immediately after and is basically out till the end of the season (even if he came back now would he get in ahead of Dimi?) I wonder if AK is planning on keeping him around next year too, otherwise this feels like ultimately a totally wasted loan spell for Meijas
