Every 'ITK' thing he posted was also on twitter today. So that was his 'source'

We could see Omeruo loan confirmed soon, took this from AV's blog:

Hearing Omeruo deal is all wrapped up. Other clubs were interested but Boro kept throwing money at his wage to beat them to it. Good source too.

**AV writes: Boro have always been the first choice of both the player and of Chelsea as has been repeatedly stated by all parties. The Hull story last week was an internet whisper without substance that got out of control. My understanding is that when/if he comes back to Boro, the club will be paying the same % wages as he was last year.

Gibson and Omeruo formed an excellent partnership at the end of last season, I'm looking forward to seeing how well they do with a full season in hand. Ayala and Woodgate aren't bad backups either.

It's clear that Omeruo would benefit from another spell here. Last season he done brilliantly for us but there were clear weaknesses in his game that will surely improve with more game time here. He needs to learn not to try and step forward to try and nick the ball off attackers as it left us vulnerable quite a few times.

Omeruo's impressive spell with us will surely go a long way to convince Chelsea(and the players themselves) to loan us other highly rated players like Piazon, Ake etc.

Really don't see woody being dropped if he is fit and training well, think it will be a first choice pairing of Woodgate & Omeruo.

Hmm, Woodgate's fitness is a bit iffy, but I do agree that he'd be first choice if he can keep himself in shape.

I think it will be Wodgate Ayala first choice and depending on the opposition we could see Omeruo at RB to nullify decent LWs

We're really well stocked with CBs will be interesting to see who Karanka goes with as first choice pairing. I'm thinking Woodgate will be one if them.

Random question: do we expect Karanka to keep Woodgate as captain?

I'd imagine so with Leadbitter being vice captain.

Woodgate is still a mile better than all our cbs when fit. He was the only one who came out with any sort of pride from Moggas start to the season.

    • I'm simply going by the fact that it doesn't seem to mentioned anywhere that they haven't been paid.  The Charlton forums I looked at haven't mentioned it and generally you'd expect to see it there.  It's not like that kind of thing stays secret for very long, and with all of the grief he's getting, it would be reasonable to assume that if he wasn't being paid, that he'd say so to defend himself.  All he's said is that the decision has been a really difficult one for him to make but that his fear of injury is such that he doesn't want to play, and that he knows he'll be seen by some as being greedy.  It's also perhaps worth pointing out that he was missing for two months earlier in the season after being injured playing for Montserrat and I assume he still received his Charlton wages then as well.  All in all, he'll have played about 4 months for Charlton this season but been paid for all 12 months, unless they refuse to pay him this month, which they should.
    • Apart from some unfounded speculation on here I have seen nothing to suggest he hasn’t been paid. Do you know that he hasn’t been paid? If he hasn’t, then I’m surprised he hasn’t just said so, instead of saying he can understand if people think he is a money grabbing player with no loyalty, but hopes that people will forgive him for only thinking about himself.  There is nothing to suggest he hasn’t been happy taking his pay during the last few months without lifting a finger and now he can only think about himself.
    • Report on Moukoudi which can be filed in the section 'complete bullshit' https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/06/04/report-woodgate-signing-already-facing-middlesbrough-exit-pl-clubs-will-bid-9m/
    • Where is the evidence to prove he has or hasn't getting paid? I haven't personally seen it yet.
    • Aye, it does put it all into perspective when you say it like that 😰
