It's a goal scoring opportunity, it has been denied to him, it is a straight red card offence there are no ifs ands or buts about it, if this was at the other end we would all be screaming blue murder, and claiming the referee is corrupt or *** at his job like last week.

is davies good with his left foot? because if not he probably would have smashed it into the crowd. he's not that good a player you know. if he never tripped over hines he probably wouldnt have scored at all.

they got lucky getting the penna the initial contact was edge of the area. wide of the goal, not even central. if he was central maybe a red but he was wide leftish for him to shoot there would have been on his wrong foot. far from a clear scoring chance. if he took another touch hines and big ken would have been all over him. he would probably have tried to blast it or cut back to his right foot and get tackled. if he never tripped over.

The fact that there is a debate at all, with good points on both sides, show that it's not clear cut either way. So why don't we just say it was up to the referees discretion and move on? By no means was it was clear cut as the crucial decision against Leeds, that's for sure.

there is no debate at all, never a sending off. it was the same with our penna fans saying that was lucky. it wasnt. big dave give it a forearm smash in the opposite direction. handball as clear as day. their disallowed goal beckford has his arm up pushing against the defender, minimal contact but still contact with the defender while he was jumping for the ball. foul.

i think the trouble is we are so used to being stiffed by the refs when they make a decision in our favor we are surprised. times are changing we are back and on the up. the refs are even noticing and starting to give us a few decisions :)
