MMC 1,000 Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Venue: Riverside Stadium Date: Saturday 23rd August Match: Middlesbrough vs Sheffield Wednesday So quite refreshingly I've managed to bag myself a second matchday thread :). Hopefully the result will be slightly better than when I last did a Boro vs Wednesday thread. The all-conquering championship destroyers that are Middlesbrough FC will be looking to kick off their second home match of the season looking for a similar result to their first home game. SuperKike lived up to his name, scoring a late winner in an intriguing, but fairly ugly, match against Bolton. SuperKike will be in the squad on Saturday and I have some exclusive footage of him arriving at the stadium Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nah it's just some Spanish lad with an oversized head in spandex. Despite earning and deserving the win in their last match, 'Boro didn't play to maximum capacity and benefited from a couple of decisions that could really have gone either way, with Seb Hines perhaps a little fortunate not to see a red card and Daniel Ayala also fairly lucky that a light nudge constitutes as enough of a foul for a goal to be disallowed. They will be hoping to improve for this one to beat t'owls. T'owls on t'other hand have started this season fairly well and are unbeaten in 3 league games and a cup match! Boro boo-boy Jacques Maghoma has made a decent start to the season, looking to fill Antonio's boots. They could provide some stern opposition as they have pace on the counter and will sit deep and break. Seb's taken a lot of flack already this season, people need to ease up a little, he's done okay and not been our worst performer! -In which year will Mejias finally catch a ball?
