I think Gibson has always wanted a club built on a self sustaining footing, Norwich have proved it can be done, the article from the Luton manager saying how difficult to play football following Pulis is probably highlights the real issue, too many negative managers to be able to click your fingers and change into an attacking side instantly. I believe Woody will get us there eventually but personnel will need to be moved on to free up funds and bring in the right sort of player. Hopefully we'll continue on this path and not revert to a defensive manager whenever the next one arrives.
Edit: wonder if Klopp fancies a real challenge 😄
Sadly, you are probably right, a similar thing happened at Sunderland. Do you think the club would reduce ticket prices in the event of relegation? I find it strange that people are renewing now, at the current cost, when they could be watching third tear football next season.
That's one of the reasons I don't think he'll get sacked. You saw how easy our fans were swayed in the summer by one press conference and a handful of Gazette articles.
If we got relegated we'd just have a massive PR campaign from the club and Gazette and by August our fans would be raring to go again.
