Boro V Birmingham City (A) 1-1

I'll take top of the league! Referee was a t!t though. Hope karanka meets him out in the car park and gives him another pushing.

Going down to 10 men onwards we were excellent.. The boys played there socks off of and still dominated the game... In the context of the game that is a great point...

UTB.

Top of the league and an away draw with 10 men for the last 50 minutes or so. Character building stuff :)

Interesting team... Is it just me or does it feel like we've not seen Nsue as an attacking force for a while, what with the ACON and playing fullback. Reckon he will be on the left side tonight.

A huge opportunity tonight to go 3 points clear, would be over the moon if we took it!

Still think 1-1 will be the score however.

Once again Pyro has the correct score, that is 2 games in a row now with the correct score #predictinggenius

It's almost as much a test of resolve and resilience as it is a test of ability.

Well tonight was just that and I'd say we showed that we have a bit of both.

Given the ref was against us from the start and we were down to 10 men this was a big point which has took us top. Just need to re group and beat Leeds now

Pleased with a point all things considered. It is just so damn annoying that we always wait until the second half before we really get going. Why can't the team play like that from the first minute. Is it some kind of fetish a***st the players that they love a good Karanka half time bashing.

Well I've been out all night at a open university tutorial and I come home to madness. WTH has been going on tonight lol?! Dimi sent off, a goal down and then Bamford does the business and gets us a massive draw. Boro really need to stop giving me heart attacks and I wasn't even watching/listening to this one!

    • I remember sitting in a pub in the Algarve that had a load of different games in TV for that 8-1 game. Was with my dad and brother, next to a bunch of united fans (were playing Wigan who were just above us going into that final weekend). Drunkenly said to one of them that I'll get a round of shots in for every goal they put past Wigan, and one of their group chimed in that he'd do the same every time we scored.   Safe to say I got the better deal
    • I think you may be right. I seem to remember moaning about the lack of goals we scored that season.
    • That City game was a freak game rather than a brilliant performance.  It was common knowledge that Ericsson was going to be sacked after the game so I don't think their players were fully motivated, City went down to 10 men and a few of their players threw the towel in after that. We scored a few great goals in that game but it felt a bit like a friendly game towards the end of the match.  I think that result has become more famous over the years because of how big City have become, before they had the money they were no bigger than us as a club and it felt like we used to beat them every season.
    • Funnily enough enough as far as I remember that 8-1 was the only game that entire season when we scored more than 2 goals. I may be wrong but it's what I remember, didn't bother checking haha.
    • I went for Brentford.  I think the games I'd like to see are the last game at Ayresome Park, Boro 4-1 vs United and Man City 8-1. The last 2 would be a great reminder to the recent Boro teams you are allowed to win by more than a goal and score more than 3 on occasions.
