Yes, it's funny how a team's fans can have completely different perceptions of a player. A year ago in a Boro shirt, if Bamford had have done that in preseason, we'd have just focused on how good the save was. Because of the season he's had at Leeds, all the focus is on the miss.
I've always said that I'd rather have a bad preseason that exposes where we need to strengthen rather than a good one that creates a false sense of confidence which we only realise is false when it's too late to do anything about it.
Of course, this relies on us actually doing something about it this time.
