For me we've had at least 3 poor performances and have spent big, why do that to leave the new guys on the bench. And if you do that and we play poorly and lose to Blackburn is that when you make changes? how long would you leave it?

 

I'd have Rhodes and Ramirez in from the start for Blackburn, if both fit of course

 

I think you need to make a point that you have to earn your place. If we play the two new lads and lose do you drop them ? I just think they are new guys they've done nothing with us yet. They sit on the bench and wait for a chance if the guys we have play well they wait a bit longer if the guys we have don't perform then their in

£9M spent on Rhodes, He won't be needing to wait for a chance. He has been bought because Kike & Nugent are simply not good enough as our first choice striker... Might sound harsh to some people but that's the truth.

 

9 goals between Kike & Nugent in over half a season playing for the best team in the league is embarrassing.

There is something about kike that makes me feel so sorry for him. What a committed guy he is would run through brick walls when he plays , his celebration are always that of pure joy and emotion and he is so committed to the cause , and then to hear he turned down wolves because I didn't want to play for a team in the same league as Boro is great from the lad.

I just wish he was slightly better player it's a shame.

As I've said before. Kikes min per goal ratio is better than rohdes this season

I get what your saying but I've never signed for anyone and expected to go straight in. And when I've been a manager I've never put anyone straight in. Unless there are injuries of course

I have a soft spot for Kike and I feel he does add a lot to the team other than goals. That being said, I fully expect Rhodes to start over him because that's what we've bought him for. I do, however, rate Kike over Nugent.

I rate nugent over kike. I think he gets a bad press. We applaud him for charging all over then wonder why he doesn't score buckets loads. Rohdes will stand in the penalty area and most probably score more but we will lose that work ethic. Take your pick which you prefer

I don't think anyone is arguing that Rhodes won't be our main starting striker from now on. I just think AK will give Nugent the chance to retain his spot by starting him this weekend, if nothing more than to say to Rhodes that he will have to work and perform to get into our team.

We do that with kike aswell. And I wonder why. You can play a long ball to feet or chest and make it a whole lot easier for the forward
