Essuuaitch 330
Based on that I agree with the people talking about the valencia link and him wanting to be close to his family. It is very tough being away from. Your family for any length of time. Just a theory I want to throw out there. I wonder if Valencia approached him with an offer. He talked to Steve Gibson about it and asked to leave because he misses his family. SG said "no f'in way, you've got a job to finish here after the backing I've given you I expect nothing less than promotion and you as manager. If you still want to go at the end of the season, then I won't stop you, but until then you're boros manager, take the weekend off, talk to your family.". Maybe after heading home and thinking on it AK regretted his actions and wanted to make it up to the team but SG thought he needed the full weekend off. Maybe they made a gentlemans agreement if AK still wants to leave at the end of the season there would be no opposition to him leaving. Thats my theory based on the parts of the story I believe to be closest to the truth. I'm thrilled to know AK is staying til the end of the season. Watching the game as a spectator at home he will have witnessed a lot of things he wouldn't see sat in the dugout and I believe he will have spent Sunday night drafting up this week's training schedule to right the wrongs. C'mon boro! Good theory but I disagree with the last part about him not seeing things. Surely he watches every game back and looks into every detail? I'm guessing he means from watching the game on tv rather than from the dugout, out of context of the cut and thrust pitch-side - different perspective and all that - I could be wrong though! I think TTO was aluding to the fact that AK will probably rewatch evey game several times on DVD to get the full view of the game. However, watching it live on TV could trigger some thoughts "oh my, we really are slow going forward and that is frustrating to watch live" im not sure which team it is or even if theyre english tbh, but i remember watching a clip a season or so back and one team actually does have a member of the coaching staff watching the game on tv in a studio rather than pitchside for a different apect of analysis and to specifiacally look for players movement of the ball in particular

However, watching it live on TV could trigger some thoughts "oh my, we really are slow going forward and that is frustrating to watch live" I think in any of us watching the game live has a different feeling to the emotions vs watching a replay. My point was with that separation and knowing AK has a winning mentality he will have been observing through a different lens than the one he normally watches games through. As opposed to watching it on DVD where he has already gotten his preconceived notions on what to watch for on the replay, from watching the game from the dugout. I agree with Misfit and BoroDane with the idea of one of the coaches watching the game on TV being a good idea.

It is very tough being away from. Your family for any length of time. Which family are we talking about. I was under the impression his immediate family was here with him and that the family he referred to would be parents, brothers, sisters etc, rather than wife and kids. He manages to talk about absolutely nothing for the entire quarter of an hour. The guy is like a black hole for interview questions :P My favourite quote was: "you are strong, especially when you are strong"...
