Season Tickets back on sale

Recommended Posts

As I previously said I wasn't to excited about a big money deal for Negredo however a loan arrangement sounds like a no brainer to me and would be a excellent piece of business.

To think in this inflated market we could potentially have Fischer/De Roon/Subotic/Negredo/Valdes/Espinosa/Barragan/Ramirez all for the total of about £25 million is insane. I would imagine it still leaves us with plenty in the coffers should a big attacking target become available.

The more I read it, the more it annoys me. All this money sloshing about and the season ticket increase, its indefensible imho.

Maybe chicken and the egg

Raise ticket prices and have more to spend. And knowing who we are buying will garauntee we sell them

The increase in revenue from the higher ticket prices is barely comparable with the figures being talked about here. I agree with Trapper that it is disappointing all things considered.

Still, I suppose it's no use bringing it back up again now...

This.

ticket pricing just a short term issue - everyone who buys one at the higher price can get the early bird discount next season (with a bigger discount for them compared as they paid a high price) and then everyone can stop moaning, plus in the future anyone who wants a ST but waits till the Early Bird pricing is over just has themselves to blame with zero sympathy (in general cases)

At risk of derailing this thread I just don't think it's indefensible at all - the amount of money Gibson has poured into this club is incredible. That he's trying to get the club into a position where it balances the books without him putting in £1m a month is surely an admirable thing?

Yes it was a steep rise this year, but given how long they were frozen for and the money he put in I totally get it.

And to claim that making shrewd moves in the transfer market are "indefensible" completely baffles me.

A very general assumption Maz. You don't know the club are going to offer the same early bird prices again next season. Another assumption :)

it may not be the same as this years EB pricing, but it will definitely be lower than this years post EB pricing - it is an assumption, but it's a logical one

  • 2 weeks later...

The walk up prices should be getting announced soon, as we're nearly into the last week of July.

Let's hope they don't get silly. I don't think they want what they consider part timers and everyone should be season ticket holders.

South stand completely sold out with season tickets

Very strange that. Up until yesterday there was plenty of availability in the South Stand lower tier but now it's completely sold out?

Walk up prices announced this morning..

South Stand - Category A - Adult £35 a game (8 Games)

South Stand - Category B - Adult £30 a game (11 Games)

That comes out at £610 for the entire season for an adult. That is compared to £570 for a season ticket in the same stand..

Is a £40 difference in price a big enough incentive to buy a season ticket? Most people are bound to miss a game and that is the incentive gone...
