"The former Manchester City man is set to return to the Premier League after a wage packet of over £100,000-a-week was agreed" I thought our ceiling was 60k? Yeah that's what I heard, obviously it's down to the club's and Steve Gibson's discretion to sanction higher wages but I wouldn't have thought they'd sanction £100k a week! I don't think the high wages should be too much of a problem with it only being a season long loan deal though.
Neverbefore 10,695
Yeah the lack of a fee will allow us to take on more especially considering its a short term deal and won't follow us down if we got relegated.

Have you never heard of newspapers not being 100% correct That amount could be including a loan fee. For example 3 million in wages (60k) and 2 million fee (40k).

"The former Manchester City man is set to return to the Premier League after a wage packet of over £100,000-a-week was agreed" It's more likely that the overall cost of bringing him in is closer to that for us. His actual wages paid by us will much more likely be around the £60k mark. Like the papers have said his wages at Sevilla are £130k a week but that's just the cost to them after wages and the fees they still owe to City, etc.
Smoggydownsouth 1,621
I thought we were asked to possible pay 50% wages + 3 million loan fee... Which worked out at roughly 6mil and we said we would pay his wages in full with no loan fee which was less than the 2 combined?!

First post here so, hello guys!! However, i'm sure i read somewhere the deal will be worth over 6.5-7m over 12months, unsure if we're paying a fee for the loan or not, if not, this 6.5-7m may well be the wages we'll be paying over the period which would be around 75-80k a week. - Just an assumption based of the figures floating around. estonpidge 1,442
If it's a 100k then that could be 60k wages and 40k loan fee or any variation Welcome CRVN
