kodi downloaded now what?

So, is it more reliable to use Kodi on your laptop as opposed to just finding a stream through usagoals? I'm only thinking Boros games in the Prem, as I wouldn't be using it for anything else. Is the quality better in Kodi? If so, I'll have to install it before tomorrows game.

I've been wondering the same thing - surely Kodi is just another way of these streams being presented? Does anyone know if the quality/reliability is better?

If you have a Sportsmania subscription it is better, as it filters the HD streams through. If you're just using a free Kodi Haddon, it will be equally as hit & miss as looking through USAGoals

How much does that set you back? Are they reliable/worth it?

£50 per year, £26 for 6 months or £17 for 3 months.

It's good if you have decent internet. Because all the content is HD it's actually possible that the stream quality is too good for your internet to deal with. But the quality of the stream is superb and it's obviously not that expensive if you divide it by the 12 months (assuming you have the year option).

Possibly worth getting it for 3 months and then if your internet copes with it, going from there.

Thanks for that. Not for me then. I get plenty of football through the TV. I was just asking because the new Premier LEague rules stipulate that only 1 live game can be shown at the same time. Last season I could choose which game i wanted to watch. Naturally I was really looking forward to being able to watch every Boro game live in HD on my TV. Now I will again have to find streams on the laptop, in the hope that the game is broadcastet somewhere, although quality should be better than the odd Championship game.

Thats a pretty fair pricing for Sportsmania. I have a 100 Mbit connection so shouldn't really be a problem. Is it possible to use chromecast with Kodi, so I can get the picture onto my TV? Obviously I could just use a HDMi cable, which would probably be better anyways.

Yes and no. You can use it for watching 'on demand' stuff, like films or TV shows, but Chromecast doesn't support the compression codec that the live streams use, so it would be no good for watching the football. HDMI will see you right though.

Question for people with sports mania, can it be used on multiple streaming devices. If me and my dad want it to use on two seperate fire sticks will we need two seperate accounts?

If you want to watch at the same time, yeah.

    • I've got a shitty Rise Against ankle tat from a 5am drunken tattoo shop venture in sunny beach, so I'll head down in flip flops so you can ID me.
    • I'm personally of the opinion that Derby should be deducted more points for being willing to pay £5m for Martyn Waghorn.
    • For me Taylor's been a greater attacking threat in his games for us than Bola at wingback. He looks good overlapping a winger in a 4, but a bit lost when the onus is on him to be the attacking outlet down that side. That said Bola's been either not playing under Woodgate or a defensive fullback under Warnock. Maybe with more time under Wilder & co's coaching we could have a decent attacking wingback on our hands. He certainly seems the type with good application and a willingness to listen & learn. The difference in his performance levels under Warnock was shocking from the player we saw under Woodgate.
    • But if they didn't have a good enough squad to best ours and anywhere near as much investment as we had, why were we even so close to them at all so that they could beat us by a single point? By the end of the season there was only 1 point in it, Waghorn earned them 12, so what? My point is it shouldn't have even got to that stage. We should have been comfortably in the play-offs if not challenging for further beyond that. We finished a whole 16 points off 2nd place, we weren't even close to challenging for automatics by the end of it but our club at that stage should have been right up there. There is so much that we did wrong to end up where we did in those 2 years that it feels in some way a justified finish, to me. My personal feelings coming out of that season were that we finished where we deserved to. Knowing that Derby finished above us and that they cheated doesn't make me revisit that season and think any different because I'm significantly more bothered about what we do over the course of a 46 game season than any other club, cheating or not. It's not like they filled their squad with supremely talented players, they got Martyn Waghorn ahead of us and we were annoyed about that, that says more about our ***-poor recruitment, to me.
    • Agree that we need to get back to dominating teams but boy it is exciting waiting for  team sheets and subs announced am sure we are going to start clicking very soon. Those SU posters were spot on and Boro will be watched by others much more than before
